Everyone has a song that they just can't seem to get out of their heads; it's stuck. I'm one of those people, and my blog will be about those songs that I just can't seem to forget.

Friend Like That
"Friend Like That"-Hawk Nelson
First I've gotta say that this is an awesome song; I was so excited to hear that Hawk Nelson finally put out some new music. I was even more excited to hear that this song had more substance than some of their other ones. To me, "Friend Like That" is an upbeat anthem that talks about the best friend in the whole wide world; Jesus. Although our earthly friends are amazing (and I personally couldn't live without mine), we all need someone more; as Jason Dunn puts it, "Somebody on the inside". And that's exactly who Jesus is: he was human; he's experienced all the pains that we experience and he knows what we're going through. He'll always be there too, and won't give up on anyone. That's what's so great about this song: it talks about the character of Jesus without being 'preachy' or anything; it also gets the listener thinking. So my question to you is: Do you have a friend like that? |

Thanks for commenting on my blog. EMO can be a style, but your right it can also be just what they call themselves.
I also love Halk Nelson. A couple of months back I went to one of their concerts.
