Rebirthing-Skillet
Okay, first of all I have to say that Skillet is one of my favorite bands and this song is one of my top ten songs. Ever. When I first heard it, I was blown away. I thought it was so cool how they integrated strings with the guitars, bass, and drums. However, the lyrics also play a huge part in making this song as awesome as it is. Plain and simple, this song is about the process of getting saved. As hard as those feelings are to describe, "Rebirthing" does a good job of putting them into words. In fact, the entire song is transitional. The person starts out feeling paralytic, dies, then comes alive again. Simply speaking, that is exactly what it is to be saved for the first time. This song brings back those feelings for me...it also reminds me of the most amazing free gift I've ever recieved: the gift of rebirth.
