Boy, was I fooled! We have been running to swim lessons and Trey's camps. His camps are two hours a day for a week. So far we've done a Harlem Globetrotters camp (more on that later), a football camp and he is going to do baseball, soccer and tennis camp. Plus, we've had two ceramics classes and some homeschool get togethers. Soccer practice starts in middle August and all the kids are signed up for that, I think I'm crazy since Daddy will still be gone! The great thing is that swimming lessons are going great. Trey is like a fish in the water. His strokes have improved tremendously since last year. Jumps into the deep water, doesn't care this year. Hallie is going under, floating and is ready to start level one which works on her strokes. Trey will be in level three starting next week. Courtnee still wants me to do the class with her. I'm hoping that by the end of the summer, she'll be doing the preschool class by herself.
I planned on doing a great dinosaur unit this summer, but time has gotten away from us. We got to do two lessons and that was it. I plan on resuming again in a few weeks and just concentrate on reading and math for the rest of the summer. Too much to do outside while we can enjoy the nice weather in Japan! |
