On Saturday night, I had an appreciation dinner to go to at the restaurant here on base.  The kids went to the chapel lounge, where a very gracious lady watched them and did fun activities with them.  When we got home, Kevin called and said that they were just leaving Misawa and that it would be about an hour when he got home.  I had homework to complete, and the kids were wound up, so I let them snack and watch a few episodes of the Brady Bunch.  At about 9:30 Kevin called and said that he was coming in.  I turned to the kids and told them to put their shoes on-"why" they asked.  I said, "because daddy's coming home"!  They were so excited, I could barely get them in the car.  We spent a really nice day on Sunday and then today he had to go back to work.  Since he arrived home before the rest of the squadron, he has to make sure that everything's ready, which means long days.  The boat pulls in on Friday so that means working all weekend too, but we'll still get to see him at night.  He'll be home for a few weeks before he goes off again.  The kids and I will really enjoy our time with him!!
