Getting my week organizedHello all! They say that homeschooling families are not busy!! They are crazy. My kids are taking piano, active in AWANA, and Trey is active in sports and will be starting cub scouts this week. He's very excited because he's going faux rock climbing.
I am busy keeping up with the kids, Cubbies Director for AWANA, taking online classes and I just voluntered to help out with Cub Scouts if they need it. Between all of that and keeping up with homeschooling, I'm not sure when I'll be sleeping.
I need to incorporate two parts of my day that I have been lacking. One is time to do my bible study, the other is exercising. I desperately need to get my body and my soul in shape. I am planning on trying to schedule different sections of the house to clean each day so that I don't have to do it all on one day and the entire day is lost. So here it goes:
Laundry-I will do a load or two a day. Starting at dinner time and finishing up when the kids go to bed, so they can put their own clothes away.
Monday-Bathrooms, need to be cleaned twice a week and I've only been doing it once. How exactly do kids manage to get an entire tube of toothpaste all over the bathroom?
Tuesday-Floors in the downstairs and dusting downstairs
Wednesday-Floors upstairs and dusting upstairs
Thursday-Complete vaccuming upstairs and down. I usually vaccum the living room and dining room every day or every other day.
Friday-Those bathrooms again.
I'm going to try to start this out tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. My goal is to spend the weekend doing something other than cleaning out the house. I usually do my homework in the evening and on Thursdays, I get my lesson plans ready for the following week. At least that's the plan it doesn't always work that way.
I'm hoping that once I stream line this schedule, things will run more smoothly and I won't get overwhelmed with all I have to do. We will continue to pick up everyday as this house is only 1200 sq feet and it looks messy if one toy is out of place. I'll let you know how it goes!
