first week of cleaning schedule done

Well, an interesting week and a half.  We had the cold/flu run thru the family.  It hit one member for a few days then went on to the next.  Needless to say, between being sick and getting ready for Daddy to leave again, almost no schoolwork was accomplished this week.  That's okay, we'll start again full swing next week.  I can't wait to really dig into Astronomy.  We didn't get much done before we hit this lull.

On a good note, I followed my cleaning schedule pretty well.  I realized that it didn't take long to do a little each day and really worked towards that goal.  I also switched around the clothes (summer to winter) and before Daddy left, had him help me move three rooms around.  The dining room has the dining room table back and is also the school room, the front room now has the computer and spare tv and all of my crafts have been moved into that closet.  And the girls now have separate bedrooms upstairs.  Most of their mess is now upstairs, which is such a relief.  It was getting hard to deal with the school mess and toy mess in this little house.  We were literally triping over everything.  The laundry fell a little behind but I'm not worried about it too much.  That is easy to catch up with over the weekend.  I know, I know, I was trying to avoid doing that.  But since this first week, has been a success with everything else and I did move three rooms around and I switched all the clothes, it was okay to fall behind in one area.

My goals this next week, are to incorporate a regular daily bible study.  I usually end up trying to catch up and do three or four days in one and this is not working for me at all.  I hope to be able to do it in the morning and bible reading in the evening.  I'm hoping that now everyone is well, I'll be able to do that eaiser.  Getting up early this week was pretty hard, especially since I now have the cold/flu thing.  We love to share in this house!!  lol
