Goals for the summer months...

We will start school in late July-my goodness that only gives me four weeks to get some things organized so I've laid out my plan for the next four weeks and some goals for the rest of the year:

Homeschool

-order curriculum (am doing tomorrow am)

-do lesson plans for history, science and geography through December.  Why only those?  Because we do history twice a week, science Trey will do SOS but we will meet in the afternoon once a week to go over stuff and do experiments, and geography once a week.  If I can plan out several months work, it will make it easier on me later with the new baby.  Math and everything else is done daily and is easier to plan.

House

-Finish cleaning out the closets, only one left yeah!

-Finish cleaning out the baby's room.  I only have the dresser to go through

-Clean out and organize Trey's room

From now until the end of the year my goals are as follows:-

-Get some scrapbooking done!!!!  Child number four is almost here and I haven't started number three's baby book yet, yikes!

-Finish Trey's quilt and work on the girls' quilts.  I got some really cute fabric in the states and I need to get cracking.

-I finally bought a genealogy program and I want to spend at least one night a week doing research.  I love to learn about our family history and I'm excited when I find out interesting information.   Supposedly, on my dad's side, we're related to Davey Crockett, well we'll see.

-Most importantly, catch up on my bible studies.  I have three waiting to get started and two I'm working on.  I'm putting one aside to concentrate on the other and then will finish the second, then onto the other three I have.

What are your summer goals?  Goals for the year?

My goals are similar to yours. We aren't starting school until August so I have a little more time! I did get all the closets cleaned out & I ned to get a little more organized. I ordered the books for 1 place and have them in. The other place I will place my order the first week of July because another mom is ordering with me and she has to wait until then.
Take care & good luck with the cleaning!

Japan - How cool! And a baby on the way! :)
I understand now why your comment on my blog said you needed to streamline the curriculum some this year. I'm finding homeschooling life much more chaotic with an itty-bitty one, but wouldn't trade a day of it for anything! Good luck with planning, school and baby!
