Okay, here's my eight things!
1. I love to quilt. I started when I was 19 and grew to love it. I really love to hand piece and hand quilt, but I would never get much done that way. Now, I machine piece and hand quilt, sometimes I machine quilt but not often. I love to relax in front of the tv, or watch the kids play outside and give my hands something useful to do. Of course, I don't get many done, but I still enjoy it.
2. I love genealogy research. I'm hoping to go far enough back to determine if my family was involved in the American Revolution and get involved in DAR. I think that would be soooo cool! Supposedly, on one side we're related to Davey Crockett, but we'll see. I"m in the 1850s now.
3. I love to sit and relax outside in a chair and watch the kids play. Its my quiet time. Not too many interruptions. Its very peaceful listening to the kids. watching the birds, etc.
4. I have met people from every continent (well, except Antartica-that doesn't really count).
5. I love to scrapbook. We enjoy looking through the pages and remembering all our old friends and places that we lived.
6. I love to bake. My neighbors call me Betty Crocker because none of them bake. I actually haven't done much since we returned from the states. I'm trying to correct that though.
7. I hate to be disorganized. I hate having piles of things to look at all over the house. I don't mind messy, because we can pick that up everyday, its the disorganization that drives me mad. I have problems focusing on my kids school work when I have disorganization around me. So, I spent alot of this summer straightening out and throwing away!!
8. I need more sleep!! I never seem to go to bed early enough. I read, work on the computer, whatever to pass some evening time away and end up staying up too late. With a new baby coming, I really need to adjust that!!
