Good morning!  This week has been a bust for school.  All the kids are suffering from summer colds.  Coughing, stuffed up and runny noses, sore throats, its been quite uncomfortable for them.  I really feel badly when we've had to go somewhere because its been so hot outside that they can't breathe at all when we go out there. 

We did manage to do some work on Monday and Tuesday so we're really not all that behind.  I had a huge goal of things to get done the first six weeks, but reality set in quickly and I realized that with all the summer activities still going on (swim lessons, sports camps, etc) that it would be impossible to do everything I wanted to.  That's okay though, that's why we started five weeks ago.

I've also been working on some cub scouts and girl scouts stuff.  I'm the treasurer for cub scouts (a nice and easy job) and I'm the Daisies leader for girl scouts.  I hope to make it really fun and enjoyable for the girls.
