I thought I should post my daily schedule with hopes that it will keep me more accountable. I am trying to keep myself on track so that I don't become overwhelmed with housework or laundry. I hope this also assists me in being better organized. My schedule does not include daily pick-up around the house or my daily vaccuming (we have a dog that sheds about twelve pounds of hair a day).
Monday-Wash downstairs floors, wipe down all sinks and toilets (we have three-see previous post about toothpaste art), wash towels, get lesson plans ready for next day and do any Daisy girl scout planning that needs to be done.
Tuesday-Wash upstairs floors, do one load laundry, lesson plans ready for next day, and do any Cub Scout work that needs to be done
Wednesday-Wash stairs (no carpeting on these), one load of laundry, lesson plans ready for the next day, dust downstairs
Thursday-Vaccum and dust upstairs, one load laundry, lesson plans ready for next day, do meal plan and grocery list for the next week, pay any bills
Friday-Do homeschool journal, clean bathrooms, wash kitchen floor, do one load laundry
Saturday-finish laundry and wash sheets
Sunday-hopefully, I'll be able to spend some time reading, scrapbooking, quilting, or just relaxing. I also plan on pulling the materials together for the next day.
Now, each day states lesson plans ready. Basically, I have everything posted in homeschool tracker for six weeks. I print out the day's work and get it together, making sure I have any supplies that I need. I also take a quick look at the lesson plans so I know what I'm doing the next day.
I should let everyone know that I have major issues with not housecleaning all in one day to have a nice clean house. My problem is that between dust and dog hair, it looks horrible for the rest of the week. Plus, I don' t have the time and energy to do that anymore, unless I want to spend my whole weekend doing it-which I don't. I'm trying to make my weekends more pleasant and not so busy with household stuff so that we can do family stuff.
Have a great day! |
