I've been tagged!

By at least two people, I think actually its three.  I'm supposed to name seven odd things about myself so here goes.

1.  My neighbors and friends call me 'Betty Crocker'

I love to bake and make things from scratch.  I do, of course, share the fruits of my labor with my friends and neighbors, hence the nickname.  My goal is to make sure that no one around me is skinny, he he!

2.  I live in Japan and hate sushi!

Yuck-do I have to say more?

3.  I have, while living in the states, ordered pizza and Bison chip dip from home (Buffalo) to be overnighted to where I live.  If only I could get the Buffalo wings overnighted!!!!

4.  I am a huge Northern Exposure fan.

I love the show!!  I've collected two seasons on dvd and love watching them.  Boy, it sure sounds like all I do is watch tv!!!  I actually don't watch much at all.  Maybe an hour or so a night.  I watch more on the weekends when its cold or rainy and I'm trying to get a project done!

5.  I love to hand quilt.

There's nothing more relaxing than sitting there quilting.  I love to do it, wish I had more time.  I even take my quilts outside to work on while the kids are playing.  I just sit in my chair, relax and enjoy!!

6.  I have experienced blizzards, typhoons, hurricanes, and earthquakes.  I have not done tornadoes-don't know that I want to.

7.  I love books!!

That's not exactly weird, since we homeschool.  I do love to read myself and to my kids.  I have stacks in the 'to be read' pile.

I think that's it for my list.  I'm sure I'll think of something else later on.

Fun read!
I popped in from the last 100.
I'd love to have a Betty Crocker close by. I'm all about the eating, not cooking! =D

I've always wanted to see Japan.

I've only experienced hurricanes and tornadoes...

that was fun!
Did I forget to mention that the fudge recipe was top secret - now there will be people all over the states grabbing their stomach yelling "I ATE TOO MUCH FUDGE! AND WHERE IS THAT CATHIE PERSON I AM GOING TO GET HER!"

:o) Love you lots,
Cathie

Dec. 1, 2007 - oooh come be my neighbor here in NY!!!

Posted by dukygurl
It sounds like you are a fabulous neighbor. I lived in MO for 25 years and never saw a severe tornado...I have no idea what a wind shear is....that is what NY compares to a tornado? ok. NY is as far from "home" as I have been. I don't like sushi but my husband raves about his time in Japan and loved to eat Yakasoba he has requested that you enjoy for him!! He says he enjoyed his time there but mostly the food.
