SNOW DAY!!

Okay, I know, snow is not a big deal to most of the world, but to us, its huge!!  We get snow about once every two years where we live in Japan-by the way, northern Japan gets a ton.  Anyway, we missed the snow two years ago by a week, we arrived here the following week!!

.

Thanks to Grandma and Papa Dick for bringing the kids new snow boots and gloves when they came to visit!!  Much appreciated!!

This is behind our house.  We live in townhouses.  Its coming down pretty good, but very, very wet snow!!

Okay, had to get Kailyn, making an uhm, snow angel.  She was pretty mad as the snow was hitting her face.

I'm not sure Shadow has seen much snow either as he's only two years old.  Yes, he needs a diet and a rather large backyard, which we don't have, to run in.

Trey hanging out-trying to figure out what to do.

Courtnee trying to ride her bike in the snow.  Yep, her bike.  My kids have no idea how to play in the snow.

And yet, another example of not knowing what to do in the snow.  Hallie is using a hoe to move the little bit of snow on the ground in a desperate attempt to get enough together to make a snowman.  Just a note, I haven't owned a snow shovel since living in Western NY, many, many years ago.

We tried to build a snowman, but after rolling the ball in the snow and picking up all the grass, we decided not to do it or it would be a "hairy" snowman.  We might try a little later.  Its pretty wet out there and we're in for hot cocoa and a round of the dryer for all of our clothes!

What cute snow pics! I understand the excitement as we don't get much either - and any little bit is celebrated. (I have some photos on my blog of our most recent snow and you'll have to look hard to find any!) LOL

Thank you for your encouragment about speech/therapy and sign language. We are just starting that and I would love to hear any recommendations you might have for a book. I know some signs from talking with my best friend's son who also has speech issues. I appreciate your help!

Blessings,
Leslie
