A few days ago, I took the kids to the local zoo. Its official name is Yokohama Zoological Gardens, it used to be called Zoorasia. Its wonderful to see all the different animals. We get to see quite a variety here, that we don't get to see in the states. We did not venture all the way through the zoo, choosing instead to go through a walking nature trail. Next time, we will, and I'll post pictures of the okapis!
Here's our feet compared to a bear's footprint. This is also my only way of showing up in the pictures.
These prairie dogs were hysterical. The dragged this log all the way through their exhibit.

This little guy just sat and stared at us.

We found this little guy sipping some nectar.

AGGGGGHHHH!! The kids are being attacked by a giant python!

Check out these beautiful flowers!

Here's Kailyn at the play area.

Sorry this is a litte blurry. I didn't realize that the setting on my camera had been changed until after I took about twenty pictures.

Here's Hallie checking out the wing span. We took this same picture two years ago when we went, I'll have to compare them.

On our way to walk through the amazon part of the zoo.

Its hard to see this on the wall, but water is running down it. The kids love to splash and play in it.

Here's a little temple on the zoo grounds. You can see the 10 yennies that are on top of it. 10 yen is equivalent to about 1 cent.

Kailyn is new to checking out her wing span.

And of course, we did a pony ride.

This is only part of the play area that they have towards the end of the zoo. They have a zip line that the kids enjoy. The coolest part is a little area where they can dig for dinosaur bones! We have a blast when we go there!!

Kailyn inside the TRex skeleton. You can see the zip line behind the dinosaur.
.
I hope you enjoy our photos. THis next week will be busy with Courtnee's and Trey's birthday. They can't wait and neither can I.
