Well, Trey turned 10 last week!! 10!! Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday he was crawling around and playing cars. I remember his first birthday, when he stuck his hand in the cake and cried! I remember blowing bubbles off his little hand in the tub. Yes, time sure does pass quickly.
Here's the birthday boy with all the candles in our traditional cupcake for breakfast. Apparently, there's too many candles, and he can heat his hands with the power of the flame. I think we're going to have to rethink the candle in the cupcake idea.

Using gale force wind to blow out all these candles, hehe.

Opening some presents. Encylopedia Brown is a new fav to read.

We love Playmobile and they have a new dinosaur set that Trey loves. Budding paleontologist loves the dinos!! Thanks Grandma and Papa Dick!

Trey insisted that I take a photo of his new dino toys. He plays with them every day!

In honor of the Olympics, we did an Olympic themed party, complete with activities for the kiddos. Here they are during the three legged race.

Here's the egg spoon race. We also did a water balloon toss, and varied up the three legged race some. We did several other activities but the favorite was the water balloon fight. Three hundred water balloons--took hours to fill, five minutes to throw.
The kids had a good time and the weather cooperated very nicely. It was a little cooler in the evening for the party.
This will be his last birthday in Japan. Hallie will have hers in Feb, and then we're outta here. Not sure where to yet, keep us in your prayers as we're trying for the midwest.
