Through this adoption journey I keep thinking about how we will be so blessed by this little one joining our family. Lately though, I have been thinking about the loss that will happen too.
Our baby will be grieving the loss of his mother and country. Then I think of how his mother will feel, if she is alive. She will suffer a great loss and be grieving. She wants a better life for her baby, a chance to survive, a chance to have a future. What a sacrifice she will be making!
Sometimes siblings are left behind.
On our end there will be so much joy and in Ethiopia someone or some people will be grieving. It is bittersweet.
I keep our soon to be son in my prayers, but I also pray for his birth mother. That is allI can do. .
