Our Adoption Journey

• Sep. 11, 2007 - Ghana, here we come!

OK, I have some very exciting news to share.  Before we adopted Daniel, we were thinking about adopting 2 children at once.  But, at that time, my youngest biological son was 1 yrs old, and I thought it would be too difficult to bring home 2 children.

So with Daniel being home and everything going so well, it seemed like we needed to bring home a second child.  After watching a waiting children's DVD from Adoption Advocates International, we decided to step out in faith and adopt from Ghana.

We are hoping to adopt a 3 yr old girl.  We are all so excited!  It feels so good to know what God has called us to do, and to be able to do it.  This truly is our ministry here on earth.

My kids are all excited about their new sister.  My two girls are especially excited to have a younger sister.  My girls are such little mommies.  They love their two little brothers and now they will have a little sister to love and play with.

When we have our official referral, I will share more details about our daughter.

Adoption is truly a blessing and a ministry!

Luke 9:48 (New International Version)

48Then he said to them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all—he is the greatest."

Hello,
As a fellow adoptive mother, I feel the excitement and anxiousness right along with you. We are studying geography this year and just studied Ghana this past week. We learned that it is a country that has been greatly touched by God and is a believing nation. I am excited for you, that you get to bring home alittle piece of a nation that God obviously has His finger on.

Saying a prayer for your family right now,
Liberty
