Well, we received the acceptance papers yesterday for our daughter, Arama. I have come to realize that there is a lot of work that is done on the other side (Ghana) to get these children ready for adoption. There are medicals, reports of investigation and much more that has to be done before a child can be adopted. I know my agency is doing their best to get these things accomplished.
So, it is really *official* now that Arama has been referred to our family and we will adopt her! I am hoping she will be home before Christmas, but honestly, that is not realistic. Probably January or February. It really is not ideal to travel in December, because that is when the airfare almost doubles!
I bought her a comforter that matches Megan and Claire's. Their room is decorated in "Hello Kitty." I have her bed, we just need to set it up.
Well, I will try to sit back and be patient until it is time for Arama to come home (yeah, right )
I have to remind myself that God knows when the right time is and this is all in His hands. |
