Jul. 13, 2007 - Summer Fun
I have been taking swimming lessons! Right now I am learning how to dive. I have also been practicing my back stroke, front stroke, frog and elementary back stroke. My favorite is the frog. I am not very good at diving so I'm glad that the class isn't over. I have class for one more week.
I've also been reading from the summer reading list my mom and I made. I've read two books from the Sophie series and Ellen Tebbits. I have eighteen more books to read. I got more Sophie books today from the library and two Mrs. Piggle-Wiggles. I got three different kinds of cook books.
I love cooking. I wanted to see some new recipes. I may be having some friends over soon and we're going to make Turkish Delight. I've been making banana bread this summer and muffins with strawberry jam cooked inside.
I've been trying to practice piano, but it's too loud and disturbs people. I am learning to play You're a Grand Old Flag. Sadly, our piano is out of tune.
It's been raining a lot where I live. We haven't had storms, just peaceful rain. I'm glad it's keeping the temperatures down, but it makes the water cold when I go to swimming lessons!

It is a wonderful story I highly recommend it.

Besty was ''read-out'' of the meeting house because of her marrige to John . Being ''read-out'' meant that you were cut off from the entire Quaker comminity even your family. Two years after Besty and John were married they started there own sewing shop. After the revolution started it was hard to find the fabrics that thay needed to keep the business going. Then John joined the Pennsylvania militlia in mid-January 1776 soon after he was wounded, he died on January 21st. In late May or early June Besty sat in front of a committee of three their names were George Washington, George Ross, and Robert Morris. Which led to the making of the first offcial American flag.

Apr. 18, 2007 - The Toymaker
The Toymaker is a web site that I go on when I want to do a craft. I print out what I want to make, the last thing I made was paper furniture. You can print out the same furniture, the Toymaker calls it fairy furniture, but I only use it for my paper dolls! All you have to do is print out what you want and cut it out (for some of them you may have to glue) and you have a new toy!
