Welcome to
my blog, I just wish that I knew what I was doing. But I enjoy
learning new things, so hopefully I'll get the hang of all this soon.Today, I spent part of the day preparing for Week 3 of our homeschool. We have named our school: Lantern Academy of Learning....and our motto is Learning about the world by the Light of God's Word and our verse is Psalm 119:105 NIV Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. My daughter is in 9th grade and we are doing a modified Sonlight Core 7. I've added a geography book to boost this to a high school level. So far, she is enjoying it. Last year, I didn't use Sonlight for her and she begged to come back to Sonlight. My youngest son is in grade 3 this year and we are doing Sonlight Core 3, American History. This intro to American History are my favorite Cores in Sonlight and I'm really looking forward to this year. I've done Core 3+4 once with my second son, and then Core 3 and Core 4 with my daughter. My oldest is in America and is currently working. He lives in Atlanta, GA near my parents. My second son, is preparing to go back to the states in a few months. He will be having surgery on the 31st, so prayers for him would be appreciated. He is finishing up a math and science course for high school. This is the second surgery that he has had in his high school career. This time, he is having sinus surgery and some repair to his eardrum.
