Moshe answered the people, "Stop being so fearful! Remain steady, and you will see how ADONAI is going to save you. He will do it today."
What a promise to hold on to. No matter how hard things are or if it looks like they just won't end, ADONAI has promised to save us! Hallelujah! Not only will He save us, but He will do it at the perfect time. He's big into perfection, ya know! ;)
While I was cleaning the kitchen the other day, I found this spaghetti noodle JUST LIKE THIS stuck in the bottom of the pan from dinner. I thought it was kinda "Super"! :P

A Farewell

Usually about this time, Mama, Jocelyn and I would have been doing a lot of work managing and getting everything ready to publish Growing In Grace Magazine and then publishing today. Not this month. So to you, my awesome friends and readers, I want you to know that we are no longer writing for or managing GGM and since there was a blurb in The July issue today about our absence, I wanted to let you, my amigas, that I can no longer endorse or link to GGM. If you have any concerns or questions, you can contact me through my contact form and I will be happy to answer you.
To find new articles by me, you can visit a ministry that has been on our hearts and in our family since 2007: Training Daughters, Teaching Wives. TDTW got pushed to the back burner since we were doing GGM and our various other sites, but we feel ADONAI leading us to now head it up by "Encouraging Mothers and daughters who are purposing to be Titus 2 women."
So here we go Onto New (Previous) Online Ventures, I would appreciate it if you could please pray for our family as we follow ADONAI's leading in our lives.
Thanks y'all! :D

My Lillie Flower

This little Sweetheart is such a doll! She has been extra sweet to me lately. :) I love the way LillieGirl always wants me lately! This is not a normal thing... usually she wants Mama or Rachel over me, but lately she has just wanted me, which makes me happy! She's all about me holding her, hugging her, blowing kisses, and just being a sweetie!
Yesterday, she wouldn't let me go make lunch unless I took her with me. I was very glad we have an Ergo. Today, I came out in the living room and she was sitting on the couch singing her heart out. I smiled at her and she said, "MANNA!" then jumped in my lap! awww! She's got THE cutest smile, THE sweetest laugh, THE best hugs and kisses and she is just an amazing 2yo sistah!
I love that baby girl! She is my Lillie Flower and the prettiest flower ever!
Loving my Lillie Flower,

Ahh... Quiet Time!
Published on June 27, 2009 at 12:08 PM
This Article was published in Too True
Ever since I got my Reese Chronological Bible back in 2007, I have really loved to read the Bible. Being the orderly perfectionist that I am, it really bugged me when I would be reading the Bible and I would read about something that happened two books ago... ergh. So when I found there was a Bible that was in order, I just had to have it. I really love reading the Bible in the order of how it happened. It really is neat to realize that some things happened at the same time other things did, and some people were alive when other people were that you may not have made the connection before.
I also have a journal notebook that I have with my Bible, so anytime I read my Bible and I find something I want to remember I write it down! All this to say... I have loved reading my Chronological Bible... only thing is... its in KJV. You can read why Thou Art KJV No More. I now use the Complete Jewish Bible. I won't get into a debate about KJV vs. CJB, but I will say that I love the CJB version. The way it is translated is so much easier to read and understand. Some of my fave verses have a better interpretation in this version and it has really opened my eyes!
The point of why I'm sharing this is to impress the fact the at having a quiet time in your life is imperative to having a close relationship with ADONAI and your Savior! This past spring, ADONAI really made me realize that He longs for a relationship with me. A time where its only me and Him. A time to just worship Him and praise Him and become close to him. I mean, look at Moses for an example. He walked and talked with ADONAI! He was God's friend. Reading about the relationship between Moses and ADONAI is such an encouragement and wonderful example to look to to realize that God really does want a close relationship with his people!
I am not big into devotional books, and when I won Six Secrets To A Powerful Quiet Time by Catherine Martin from Mrs. Cindy Rushton, I was thinking, "Oh! a book to adorn my shelf that I won't ever read." Oh how I was sorely mistaken! When I took a 10 day sabbatical to straighten out some things back in March, I felt that something was missing in my daily Bible reading time. I was just standing in my room after reading my Bible and saw the Quiet Time book on my shelf, so I picked it up and started reading it. WOW! If there is one devotional you should read, this is it! The tag line for Six Secrets to a Powerful Quiet Time is "Discovering Radical Intimacy with God" and I just gotta say... I did discover that wonderful intimacy with ADONAI!
I would have to say that anyone who wants to have an intimate relationship with ADONAI should get this book and just soak it in! It is really really really awesome! I love the way this is a step by step book to really help you in your walk and show you things about it. It really opened my eyes to many things. I wanted to share some of the things that I have realized in my quiet time: Always come to ADONAI with praise and thankfulness first. Praising the Lord is the most important thing in your relationship. He is a jealous God, but more than that, He really deserves our praise. I have tried to make sure whenever I pray that I praise and thank God for what He has done for me before anything else.
Before He can do anything in your life, you have yield your everything to Him and His will for your life. You need to yield yourself to Him, so that what He wants for you, is what you want. You have to make your wants and plans His by being broken before Him and willing and ready to do what He wants. One way I do that is to just get on my face at the feet of my Savior.
Cry out to Him! He already knows what your pains and joys and He already knows your wants or what you don't want, but make them known to Him by saying them to Him. I am not sure why, but it is reassuring to me to actually make them known to Him with my own mouth, not just my thoughts or heart. There are so many more things that I have learned, but I think those are probably the most important ones. I just realized this but those three things have the acronyms: ABC. Wow! Guess having a quiet time is as easy as ABC. :) I think the purpose and meaning of quiet time can be summed up by: James 4:8 "Come close to God, and he will come close to you." You want to have a close and intimate relationship with the one who created you and who gave His life for you? Have a quiet time and you will have no choice but to draw close to Him. I promise! I have a whole bunch of things I use when I have my quiet time: Reese Chronological Bible
CJB Bible
A cheap Bible to mark favorite scriptures in.
Bible Journal
Six Secrets To A Successful Quiet Time by Catherine Martin
Devotional Journal
My Utmost For His Highest
My favorite pen
Hymns to sing There is something truly special and wonderful having a quiet time with ADONAI! I am so blessed and thankful that I have realized the utmost importance of having a quiet with the One who loves me unconditionally!
Having a Quiet Time may seem like a burden or inconvenience, but it is really a freeing and relieving time for you to get to know the Lord. You may not think you have enough hours in the day, but having a quiet time is something you must have time for. :)
Reveling in my Quiet Time,

Temperance Is A Bridle Of Gold
Published on June 24, 2009 at 1:26 PM
This Article was published in Published Articles
The Bible tells us to:
Philippians 4:5
" Let everyone see how reasonable and gentle you are. The Lord is near!" We are to make sure that we are level in what we believe, do, say, eat, etc and have self-control while staying level. Everything we do should be done with self-control! It is very important to have that in your life. Another word for Self-Control is:
TEM'PERANCE, n. [L. temperantia, from tempero.] 1. Moderation or self-restraint in action, statement, etc.; self-control. 2. Patience; calmness; sedateness; moderation of passion. Temperance is moderation and self-control and it is also a fruit of having God's holy spirit in your life. We all know we need self-control in our lives... some more than others! ;)
Most of the time temperance is said in reference to eating and drinking, but the Bible talks about temperance as something spiritual.
Galatians 5:22-24
" But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things." When I studied Meekness, I found how all the different fruit of the Spirit are pretty much the same thing. Temperance is like that too. It has it's own character, but it incorporates Patience with it. Temperance is basically moderation and self-control with patience. If we think about it, it takes patience to have self-control and be moderate in things.
I think having temperance is something that gets overlooked in our lives. Honestly, I couldn't figure out what temperance was for a while. I know now and I know that it is something I need to work on in my life. There are things I could moderate better than I do. It will probably be hard to moderate things because we just want to do what we want to do. We need to understand though that God wants us to do things with temperance and we just need to do it.
Temperance can be a bridle for our flesh. Since its a fruit of the Spirit, temperance can help us pull back our flesh nature, so that we can be more patient, more moderate and have better self-control through the Holy Spirit.
If we look at our lives, I am sure we can all find something that need to be moderated better; something that needs to be controlled more. Maybe its moderating work and play, or computer time, or reading, or tv/movies, etc. Everything in our lives needs to be done in moderation. As we grow in the Lord more, and the Spirit bears the fruit in us, then everything will come together. We will have temperance in our lives, and things will be moderated the way they should be. Temperance is being able to moderate with patience through the Holy Spirit. The self-control aspect of it is to let God be in control. As a human, I will error in my ways, and I know I don't have very good self-control, but through God I know I can handle anything that comes my way and be able to overcome it. That is where we will be able to have temperance enough to do everything in a Godly moderation.
This week, make a list of things you do and estimate how much time you do them. Pray and seek God to see if He would have you change the way you do some things.
It is encouraging to me when I find something that I know I can work on better in my life. I want to be all and everything God created me to be and when I find something that I am convicted to do better or change in my life, I am very glad that God opened my eyes to it.
I was so encouraged too by what Peter tells us that needs to happen when we have temperance in our lives:
2 Peter 1:5-7
"For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love." We are to add to temperance so that our example of having the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives and of being a sinner saved through Christ will not return void! I want my example of having the Spirit in my life to shine for everyone to see and for it to bear good fruit in others!
Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit,
