The other night, hubby and I went out... alone! We had dinner and shopped while my MIL watched the kiddos. She is a trooper! :)

We had a gift card to Penneys and I "needed" new gym shoes. Something happened that has never happened before! I walked up, saw some I liked, and looked at the two remaining boxes. One was my size, even in wide, go figure, and they were on sale! I glanced at where they were made and it said U.S.A. I was really surprised and hubby and I decided I better check out fast. The shoes are made by New Balance. I was under the impression that pretty much all gym shoes were made in China at this point. It was pretty exciting. I guess I have a boring life!

We are trying to get our home back in order before hubby goes back to work and school resumes. I don't know if I am ready to get back to the hustle and bustle. Upward basketball starts a week from Tuesday and we have three playing this year. So much for Saturday work days during January and February! We do have fun with it though.

I cannot imagine... Savannah still rarely takes a pacifier, and usually nurses every couple of hours still (guess I am the pacifier). I'm glad you were able to get away for awhile. It sure sounds like your time was blessed. That would be exciting for me too!

Yeah, I'm loving this break as well. Chris was just saying last night how nice it's been not having to rush here and there during the week. N and T are doing Upwards bb for the first time this year, and looking forward to it. Chris and I will grin and bear it. ;-)
