Apr. 7, 2008 - New Nephew!!! New Favorite Recipe
Hello!
I have a new nephew. You can check him out here: www.lawsonmb.blogspot.com You will see he is very very cute.
Things are going well at our house. The trees are beginning to show teeny little leaves. The daffodils and grape hyacinth are blooming. We are in the midst of soccer season and that is fun. More fun when it is not raining, but still fun.
At www.heavenlyhomemakers.com I found a new favorote recipe. They are called breakfast cookies, but we have already had them as snacks more than once.
Giant Breakfast Cookies
1 cup butter melted
3/4 cup honey
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups whole rolled oats
1 cup raisins or chocolate chips (Susie speaking- we like mini chips)
Mix butter, honey, eggs, salt, cinnamon, soda, vanilla, and buttermilk. Stir in flour and oats. Fold in raisins or chips. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for 3 to 4 minutes on cookie sheet before removing cookies to cooling rack.
Yummy!
