May. 23, 2008 I was tagged!
Yes, I know. This isn't the long awaited England post. I promise, PROMISE I will get that up next weekend. This coming week I'm starting a a summer class for Biology, and this weekend I am sleeping over at a friend's house, watching Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End exactly at eight o'clock. (It will have been a year since we watched it in theaters, the first showing! 0_0 I can't believe it!) And Sunday I'm working at a Brat Sale with my Youth. So, I can't do it today or this weekend. Or next week, as I will be getting used to summer schooling.)
I've been tagged!
1. The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
4. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answers.
1 ) What I was doing 10 years ago…
Hrm. Let me see. Ten years ago I was five, and I think my dad was just going into the Army, and we lived in California.
2 ) What are five things on your to-do list for today?
Finish the school work I am supposed to for today.
Catch up in Math.
Finish the next chapter in the story I am writing.
Finish a book that needs to be returned to the Library.
Clean my rat's cage.
(Not that any of these will actually get finished except for the first one, but oh well.)
3 ) 5 snacks I enjoy…
Dried Seaweed
Granola bars
Popcorn
Potato Chips
Chocolate
4 ) Five things I would do if I were a billionaire…
Buy myself an Ipod
Get a new and better Laptop
Send my parents on a well-needed vacation
Pay for the braces I need
Get my permit and license
5 ) Three Bad Habits...
Procrastinating
Chewing on my fingernails
Chewing on my cheek
6 ) 5 places I have lived…
Wisconsin
Minnesota
California
My grandmother's house
Florida (For like a week)
7 ) 5 Jobs I have had
I've only ever babysat, so I don't have five.
I tag anyone who wants to do this! Call me lazy, but there it is. |

The new look is finally up! I hope you all like it! It took a while but I got it done! Now all I need to do is put up the stuff on the sidebar again, and that's it! Though that might take me a while to find it all again, but that will get done as soon as I can do it!
How has everyone been? I've felt sick lately, but I think I'm doing better this morning.
I don't think I told, but I got two new rats! They are so adorable, I'll have to take a picture and put it up so I can show all of you! The oldest is named Bella after the main character in Twilight, and she's 14 weeks old now. The younger is named Lizzie after...can you all guess? lol Anyways, she's about 10 weeks old now, I suppose. They're both gray and while, and the younger one's hair is all curly as she grows out of the baby fur. The older one is slippery though, she's like a fish! And she got out of her cage about a month ago... It was so hard to catch her! I stayed up past one in the morning trying to get her. She had originally escaped during the day, and I freaked out. I had no idea where she went, and we had a guest dog in the house. Ugh, my poor nerves. lol
We found her though, so it's all good.
I've been working on my story more, editing and putting it into separate chapters instead of having it in one file. I got a fictionpress account, so I think I'll put it up there...it's easier that way, and then I can send it easier to my family members and friends.
As soon as I get the chance I'll sit down and write a very long post about how England was. I can't believe it's already been a month! Where did the time go? Good thing is I can remember very well what we did, almost as if I was watching a movie. *Sigh* It was so fun... But now I'll have to make plans to go to Italy or something fun like that!
Well, have a good day everyone! I hope you like the template, though it's still under construction |

Well, I'm back from England! I've actually been back for three weeks or so, but I've been collecting myself and everything. You know, talking to relatives, getting back into school work, seeing friends, the whole lot of it. It's been busy.
How does everyone like spring so far? I'm not sure I enjoy it yet. All we've been getting is snow, snow, rain, and more snow! Where's the sunshine, and the warm breeze? I'm very ready for Summer! I want it to come quickly. And not necessarily because I get out of school, because this year that isn't the case. I get done with Math in July, and Science in October. (I'm thinking I'll get done by September, though.) I've fallen behind a bit, and I can understand that with Math, because Math is really hard and really confusing, but I have no idea about Science, especially since I love it so much! But, that's okay. As long as it's not a burden I don't care if I go through the summer. And I'm sure I could get done with Math earlier than that...if I do two lessons a day instead of one...
Anyways, my father is taking me to a Tax Rally today. The state of Minnesota taxes us way too much, and so a bunch of people are making signs and getting together to protest. And he's dragging me along with him. He claims it will be a good civics lesson. Eh. I'd rather not go spend four hours of my Saturday standing out in the cold, but it seems I have no choice.
And then, once we get back, I go straight to a baby-sitting job from 5:30 - 10:30. So there goes my whole Saturday... It's a pity. Oh well, I need the money. I'm saving up for a new ipod; hopefully I'll soon have enough.
You're probably all wondering how England was, aye? lol I need to go take a shower now, but I promise that the next post I make will be all about my trip. It was amazing and I enjoyed it very much. I got a bunch of good pictures too, and as soon as I get them on my computer I'll put them up!
Cheerio!
P.S. By the way, a new template is in process, so I apologize for the crayon look. lol |

Mar. 10, 2008 The middle of March and England only days away! -dies-
Hey everyone!!!
I apologize for not updating my blog sooner. I've been busy with school work, unsuccessfully trying to find a job, helping watch my brothers, and reading tons of books and trying to keep the information in my brain! Let me tell you something, the Science that I'm currently doing is SO hard, I could tear out my hair. I've read this chapter over and over, but the facts and such aren't staying! What am I to do? I need a photographic memory or something but... I don't.
My trip to England is in a week! (I'm not counting the day before I leave because that day will be like...hectic!) I can't believe how fast time has gone, and to think that I had learned of this trip almost a year ago! I am traveling and seeing so many things while I'm in London! I'm really super excited to see the Tower of London (which history is actually really really interesting!), Parliament (Same there, as well! It's like our Congress...), Big Ben (Every tourist wants to see that, lol. ^^'), and a couple of the really awesome cathedrals, like Westminister Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral. (I get to be in St. Pauls for the Easter Morning service! How awesome is that!) And then I get to see the National Museum and I get to go the Cambridge and see Kings College!
It will be just totally amazing! When I get back you better believe I will update my blog with lots and lots of pictures and stories and other things that happened!!! I'll also update my story after I get back too, and change my template. (Yes, I know. I said I'd do that a month ago but I'm not a template whiz. I might have to mess around a bit.)
Anyways, have a great day everyone!!! |

Feb. 9, 2008 Hey everyone!
Hey!
I'm so sorry for not posting sooner, but I've been sick, and I'm also a bit behind in my school work. You know the drill. So, I'm in the process of recovering from being sick and catching up in school and everything!
Well, Valentine's Day is coming up pretty soon! I'm really excited for it, especially for the candy! I would be giving out cards this years, but since I'm home schooled I'll only be giving one to my best friend. Usually, on Valentine's Day, my sisters and I get a small bag filled with candies in the morning, and then we receive some more candies and such in the mail from my Grandparents. It's pretty exciting!
My brother's birthday has come and gone. He's four now. I still can't believe it! It doesn't seem like it's been four years. Maybe two, but not four! Ugh, I feel old. Anyways, we'll be celebrating his birthday tomorrow at my Grandparent's house, along with my uncle, since his birthday is next week. We'll have a double chocolate tractor cake, since my brother is absolutely obsessed with that stuff, cars, and vacuums.
My trip to England is approaching pretty fast, and I am so happy to say that I have all the money I need to pay for it, and for spending on souvenirs and such. Only thirty-eight more days! I'm extremely psyched! I really hope the plane ride is safe, though. I don't like planes very much.
Well, sorry for the short post.... Not really sure what else to say. Oh, I'll get the next part of my story up soon. And I'm thinking of putting up a new layout as well.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Jan. 19, 2008 Really short post:
Hey everyone!!!
Wow. January is almost over! How is everyone's new year going? Mine is going alright. I'm a bit behind in school work at the moment, I need to catch up on Science, Math, and English. It sucks, but I'll be okay, I seem to keep going further and further into the night each day for the past week, but it doesn't bother me so much...especially since I have nothing else to do at night. So, doing school work all throughout the day doesn't bother me.
I'm in the process of learning two songs by heart for the guitar. I'm having to play them in about three weeks for a judge, and I can get from one to five stars, depending on how well I do. If you get fifteen stars, you get some type of trophy. I got four stars last year, and I hope to get around the same again this year. I have to say though, I picked two of the hardest songs to play. One is really fast and I have to get finger-brain coordinated rather quick...and the other is long and has a bunch of dynamics. When I say that, I mean some parts I have to play slow, some loud, some soft, and some fast. It's going to be quite a challenge...I'm rather nervous.
Tomorrow I get to sing 'Beautiful Savior' in Church during offertory. The nice thing is, I don't have to sing it alone, but with five other girls. It should be interesting. The other thing is, I am a lector, and I'm freaked out. I have to stand up in front of the whole Church body and read a passage from the bulletin. Thing is, I don't do well talking in front of crowds. Ugh. Wish me luck!
I'll update with my story soon, as soon as I have time. I feel so busy with school work, and the forums...(Sorry Jennifer for not being on quite as often as I should) and the other forums, lol, and reading books for school and reading books for my own pleasure and writing my story for you guys and hanging with friends....
And where in the world do the weekends go? They just...disappear! *Shrugs* I hate it.
I love you all! Have a great day!
*Hugs |

Dec. 29, 2007 Almost 2008!!!
Hey everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas! I know I did. LOL There is so much to tell...I mean, so much to tell you all! I hope you don't mind reading a very long post! lol Just a warning in case you don't want to read it all.
First off, I didn't die!! (No, of course I didn't.) The roads were so slippery for driving, and the breaks on the back wheels don't work, so every time we turned onto another road the back would slide and I'd freak out that we were about to roll into a ditch. Ugh, talk about heart attack!!
I saw National Treasure 2! It was amazing, though not as good as the first, I have to admit. I won't spoil anything, but it just seemed that a) the characters weren't developed anymore from the first one, b) there wasn't as much treasure hunting in this one, and c) Ben and Abigail were living together, but not married. That bothered me greatly, and took some of the enjoyment out of seeing it for me.
So, Christmas was really great! I got a bunch of stuff that I will list, of course it will be the most important stuff, you know. xD There was a lot of little things, like candy, that I won't name item by item. Oh, and I really enjoyed the frosted cookies and Spinach dip! Yes, we made it again! Whewt!
So, I got a Jack Sparrow card board cut out. My uncle placed it and then rang the door bell, and I though it was my friend coming to drop off some cd's, and I screamed when I opened the door, lol. I was very happy. I also got a Pirate's book, Scene It Pirates, a Pirates AWE tin with popcorn in it, A Jack Sparrow poster, a pirates necklace, Pirates card game, Pirates computer game...(which we have to trade in for same thing PS2...) PIRATES 3 CALENDER!!!! (It put it up already, it's so cool!!!)
Lots of Pirate's stuff, can you tell?
And then I got a gift card to American Eagle for thirty dollars, a gift card to Barns and Noble for thirty dollars, two gift cards to Target (one fifteen dollar one, and one fifty dollar one), a bunch of makeup, little stocking trinkets, an extra battery, memory card, and holder for my digital camera, lots of candy, pajama bottoms, an mp3 player (it's NOT an ipod, sadly...), shoes, and some other little things.
So, I am very happy, though I know that's not what Christmas is all about, it was still nice to get some gifts. We did sit down and read the Christmas story and sing carols though, it was really fun!!! And after that I slept all the next day, I was beat tired.
So, then we traveled out to my dad's parents house to celebrate Christmas there. (In fact, I'm still here, sitting on the floor writing this, listening to Sweeney Todd, the soundtrack. It's amazingly good, but my mom says I can't see the movie. -Hisses-)
My aunt and uncle are here from Texas, my dad's adopted brothers are here as well, and then my family and my grandparents. There's a lot of people. We've been talking a lot, especially since my dad's mom and dad are the ones taking me to England. (Super excited bout' that, by the way!) So, tonight we read the Christmas story again, sung carols again, and then opened presents. All of mine were England oriented.
So, I got my journal in which I will write things in and paste stuff in after every day in England (so I can remember what I did when I get back), a glue stick, a map of the Tube (train system, sort of. Shows me all the stops and such), ziploc bags for my clothing so I can fit it all in this really small suitcase, a fleece blanket of Jack Sparrow (Woooh!), a book about England and what we will be seeing, some Anna cookies, and some other things I can't think of at the moment.
I DON'T want to go back to school yet! I'm so used to being out...ugh. Ah, well.
New Years is so soon, and I'll have fun sleeping at my best friend's house, but it's also a sad time for me because it is the fourth year anniversary of Suzy dying. She was my first rat, and she had been down in my friends basement....I don't know how, but she had gotten really sick. And New Years day she died. I was really really sad....couldn't get out of bed.
I was tagged as well!!!
Something you are afraid of: Death.
Something you have wanted for a long time: The rights to Pirates of the Caribbean! lol
Something you dream about: Going to England; falling in love.
Your favorite bible passage: Isaiah 41:10
A word that describes you: Absolutely no sense of humor. (Ask my folks)
Something you strive for: Getting my story published, getting a job, being the best I can.
Well, have fun all!!! I hope you had safe travels!!!
Lots of love, and God Bless! |

Dec. 29, 2007 HKOK Chapter 1:
"Time to be inspired.", Kate Winslow said as she sat down, pulled out her laptop, and began to type. She slumped into her cozy bean bag chair, lifting a hand to brush away some hair that had fallen carelessly into her face.
Kate Winslow was your average sixteen year old girl. She went to Prembrooke High as a softmore, having one or two friends that she would hang out with on a daily basis. She would go shopping on the weekends, or sit at home and gossip with her girlfriends on the phone. She loved to read, and you would usually find her with a book open in one hand and a half-eaten candy bar in the other. Her other passion was figure skating. If she wasn't reading or shopping, you could find her at the local ice rink, practicing for an upcoming competition.
Kate always looked nice. Her light brown hair was medium length, falling gracefully down to her shoulders. Her eyes were green and always filled with a glint of mischief, and a smile was always seen on her face. Kate was strong, and the activities she particapated in made her skinny and healthy. She always smelled of vanilla, but that was because of the body spray she had gotten for Christmas.
Kate had a wonderful family to go with all of this as well. Her mother, Mrs. Winslow, was always there to give you advice and make her famous chocolate chip cookies. A sence of warmth and grace drifted around her presence, and you could always find her bustling around in the kitchen, either cleaning or making dinner. Her father, Mr. Winslow, was the big tough guy with wisdom beyond compare. He would fix things that were broken, bring in most of the family income, and help Kate with her Algebra homework. Kate also had two sisters. One were Jenna, who was in fifth grade. Jenna was fastly fading away from the carefree world, leaving behind all the 'old' keepsakes. Barbie dolls, Princess costumes, and Polly Pockets. She would now have many responsibilities to face, but she was still Kate's obnoxious little sister. Hey, it's called family. The youngest sister was called Monica. She was in third grade, and didn't have to worry about anything except for her room. It was still a mess...even after being told to clean it two weeks ago.
"Time to be inspired." Those were the words that would change Kate's life forever. She had been assigned in class to write a story. It didn't have to be long, just a couple of pages. Kate smiled. She loved writing. It probably had to do with reading many different books, but she still loved thinking up her own ideas. As she sat there, trying to think up of an idea, she heard a small squeak. She looked up from her computer and glanced around. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she returned to thinking when she heard it again.
"Squeak!"
Kate looked up, now rather annoyed. What she saw next made her forget about the writing assignment. There was a mouse next to her foot. She squealed, eyes wide, then shut the computer top and shuffled backwards, pulling her foot away. She absolutely hated and detested mice. They were vile little vermin with creepy tiny tails that carried death and disease where ever they went. They had also, as of late, been scampering through her walls at night, making it hard for her to sleep. She had set up rodent traps, but to no avail, this one seemed smarter than it looked.
Putting her laptop down on the floor, she jumped up and ran for the corner where her broom was propped up against the wall. She grabbed it and was going to shoo the creature away, when it started to change! Kate's eyes widened, and she stepped back, frightened. The mouse had started to glow yellow and grow larger. As it was streching and changing, Kate realized something. It had started to look...human. Kate backed up a bit further and sat down on the bed. Her eyes were glued to this-she didn't even know what to call it. Was it normal for mice to come around and suddenly morph into something else? She didn't think so. Suddenly, a large flash filled the room, and Kate had to shield her eyes so she wouldn't be blinded. The light faded and she lowered her eyes, blinking, then she focused on the mouse. Yet...it was no longer a mouse, but a boy.
The boy, she noticed, did not look like a normal boy at all. He wore brown frayed pants that had some type of intracate design (It didn't look like it was made out of any normal material she had ever seen), which were held up by a belt which looked to be made of green vines weaved together. A dark green cloak hung from his shoulders and fell all the way to the floor, and seemed to shimmer with the way the sun was pouring in on it through her window. Under the cloak was a light green shirt, nothing really out of the ordinary. A bracelet made of beads and jaguar teeth hung from his right hand, and on his left was a small string with a flat yellow stone tied around his wrist. A small dagger and water pouch hung from his waist, looped around his belt and secured firmly. His brown hair was shaggy and tangled, and his eyes were blue...a deep colored blue which she had never seen before. They seemed to sparkle, but with what emotion she had no clue.
"Shau, mali fru wo Brandon." (Hello, my name is Brandon.), the boy said kindly. Kate tilted her head and looked at him with trepidation. Was he talking to her? If so, she couldn't understand him. Maybe she was having an hallucination. He was a mouse, for goodness sakes! This couldn't be happening. It must have been the chocolate bar she ate earlier. Her mother had always warned her about eating too much sugar...
"I'm sorry, but I can't understand you.", she exclaimed, still shocked. The boy sighed then made a noise that sounded like a chuckle, smiling almost sheepishly as he stepped towards her. Standing in front of her, he placed his index finger lightly on her wrist. She pulled her right arm back, stunned that he had touched her, and held it tightly to her chest. The boy just stared at her, then stepped away to give her some room. As she followed him with her eyes, a tingling sensation crept up her arm and into her shoulder. Kate bit her lip and placed her arm on her lap. What she saw next stunned her... |

Dec. 20, 2007 Rambles on about interesting stuff...
Hey everyone!
Christmas is so close. Only four days away. Thank goodness I got my shopping done, aye? lol I'm glad I did...it makes everything so much easier. And I would write what I got them if these certain people didn't look at my blog...but I assure you they are very cool presents. (Yes, mom, you'll love yours. Dad assured me you would...so no worries.)
Anyways, being a Christian, Christmas means a lot to me. It's not about the presents, or Santa, or even getting together with your family. Not about the Christmas tree, all pretty and beautiful, or about the food, but about the birth of Jesus Christ. (Who was actually born in September, but we celebrate it in December.) Sure, all the other stuff is great and wonderful, but the main focus should be on Jesus Christ, our savior. He wasn't born in a castle, or even an inn, but in a small stable, his bed a manger. The humblest of places to stay, when no one else would let them in. And he grew up and died for us all, so that our sins would be forgiven and we would be able to spend eternity with him in Heaven. I love that, and it stuns me that Jesus, who didn't have to save us at all, chose to take on all our sins and die for his children...his sinful children who didn't deserve that, or his love. Yet, he did it anyways.
Isn't that amazing to think about?
Anyways, I got school off this week, except for writing an essay. I'm a bit behind with that right now, and my mom's worried because I will need to know how to write essays and stuff for college. (I've never actually written an essay before...or a research paper. The school I went to before getting home schooled never taught me how to. Ehh....) So, I will have my hands full for a little bit.
I found out yesterday that Peter Jackson has finally agreed to make the Hobbit into a movie. Isn't that great news? He'll begin to film it next year, I believe, and then it will be released in 2010 and 2011. Since there is so much stuff in the book, and they don't want to cut any of it out, it will be released into two separate movies. I wonder how that is going to work...but in any case I am very very excited about it.
Ah! My friend and I get to go see National Treasure: Book of Secrets on Friday. I'm really uber excited for it....especially since my Pirates DVD came with a free ticket. (Did I mention I got my Pirates DVD about a week ago? It's the two disk version and I LOVE it!!!! I still don't think I've fully realized that it's out and that I have it...lol, but I've only watched it once....I'll have to change that.)
Alright, I think that's it. Except, do you think this font is hard to read? My mother does, and I might change it then if no one can really read it properly.
Have a great day, everyone, and a wonderful Christmas |

Dec. 8, 2007 Christmas...and new layout.
Hello everyone!!
Can you believe that it is almost Christmas? I can't. It seems like it should still be November. lol
So, I got in my job application to Dairy Queen today. They said they aren't hiring at the moment, because service is slow, but if they ever need another person to help they won't hesitate to look at my little application and call me.
With that out of the way, my father and I trekked around asking others if they would hire, and low and behold they are all hiring 16 years and up. Culvers hires for 15, though, and so I grabbed an application from them and I intend to fill it out and hand it in soon. I need a job really badly.
I am flat broke. I bought my camera, and it arrived, YAY, and it was SOOOO worth the money, lol. And then I got my best friend her present for Christmas, and that costed me a pretty penny, and now I am flat broke. lol Which, is not such a good thing with Christmas around the corner.
Christmas!!! I am so excited. No school, being able to enjoy the company of your friends and family, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ who came to die for our sins, just being able to relax and forget about your busy life....then comes a new year!! It's going to be wonderful. I can't wait!!!
Oh! Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End came out on the fourth! I don't have it yet, my best friend bought it for me the day it came out...but she refuses to give it to me until next Sunday. I wish I could seriously throttle her about now....and she keeps bragging about how cool it is and how amazing the blooper reels are and such....ugh.
And England is so close now!!! Only four months, maybe less. I can't wait!! But there is still so much to do before then....and a lot to get done...and money to raise. *Sighs*
I'm so excited for National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. It's going to be amazing. I can't wait to see it. Apparently our two disk special edition dvd of PotC3 comes with two tickets to see said movie, which comes out on the 21st, and we are SOOO going to see it! Yay!!!
I fixed up my layout, by the way, and fixed the color problem with the side bar. How do you all like it?? I'm not a graphics genius, otherwise it would look better.
Anyways, have a good day everyone!!
*Hugs*

Nov. 29, 2007 The Hidden Kingdom of Kariko
Prolouge
A young man rushed through the halls of a great castle. A scroll was neatly tucked under his arm; very wrinkled and worn. His short blond hair was very tussled and messy, so he ran his hand through it. He was in a hurry. Nearing two huge golden doors, he slowed down and walked right up to them. Placing his hand on one of the brass handles, he pushed against it. The doors swung open softly, so he walked in. They shut behind him quietly.
Across the room sat a man in a throne. He twirled his scepter around, bored, then let it fall with a "tap" to the floor, starting a pattern. Soon, a flurry of "tap tap tap" echoed around the room. The man looked up and glared at the other.
"Kenani, your late.", he seethed, his eyes burning.
"I am sorry, your magesty.", Kenani muttered, dropping to his knees and bowing his head with respect. The king rolled his eyes and leaned back against the throne.
"Stand up.", he commanded. "I know you didn't just come here to waste my time with simple conversation and pleasantries. Now, you have news for me?" Kenani jumped to his feet and nodded.
"Yes, your magesty. I do, but it is not good news." The king sighed.
"When is it ever good news?", he asked disgustedly. When the young man did not answer, the king became impatiently. "Spit it out lad!", he growled. Kenani started to tremble. He brushed his hair away from his eyes, trying to calm down and gain some composure.
"Well...this morning. When the guards went down to check on all the prisoners, the boy. He's gone!" The king roared with anger and jumped up.
"What do you mean he's gone?" He walked over to Kenani and grabbed the collar of his shirt, lifting him up off the floor a couple of inches.
"The door was shut. There-there was no...evidence of...escape or help. He...vanished!" Kenani coughed and breathed in deeply, but the pressure of being in the air cut off his flow of air. The king dropped him. His legs hit the floor and buckled, so he found himself laying of the floor. He took in a deep breath, then sighed.
"I see. Send out the goblin and track him down!" The young man groaned, but didn't answer. Suddenly, Kenani felt a boot contact with his side, and he rolled over with the force. Kenani whimpered a bit.
"Stand up! Your no better then a dog, you worthless mutt. Now get up and leave me, or I'll have your head." Kenani struggled to his feet, then bowed.
"As you wish, your magesty.", he muttered with mock politeness, then turned and walked out of the door. As he turned the corner of the hall, something caught Kenani's eye. The doors to the royal chamber had been left open a crack, and the king was...smiling? He stared for a while more, until the king looked over at him and glared.
Kenani turned and staggered down the hall, his side hurting. His vision soon became blurry, and he felt a bit woozy. He sat down against the wall, trying to think. The boy was gone. The king was...happy about it? Kenani trembled a bit. Whatever was going on...it wasn't right. Not right at all. Something was happening, but Kenani couldn't tell. The pain became so intense that he could no longer take it, and he fainted.
The king started to cackle, his eyes burning red. He looked around a bit, then bent down to grab his scepter. Walking towards the window, he leaned against it and looked out at his kingdom. It was almost noon, and everyone was hustling about. The chatter of news and gossip hung in the air like fog, and many children ran around chasing each other.
The king shook his head. With a quick snap of his fingers, huge lumbering clouds rolled in, and rain stared to fall. Flashes of lightning struck without mercy, and hail started to pelt down on everyone. All the children screamed and ran for their homes. Many adults shook their fists at the sky, then dove inside the buildings. Backing away from the window, the king started to laugh again.
The day now matched his mood. He hated when everyone else was happy. He hated joy. Strolling back to his throne, he sat down and laid his scepter against the side of his throne. His eyes burned with evil. He shut them and grinned.
"It has started." |

Nov. 28, 2007 November 28, just another day...
Hey everyone!
So I know I haven't been as good with updating or checking up on your blogs, which, I apologize for. But since Thanksgiving is now over, I'll have more time to do so! Plus, my school work just thinned out by an hour... =)
Thanksgiving was great! I didn't eat as much of the dinner, because I got full, but I had like....eight pieces of coffee cake or something? I got sick, of course, lol, and felt drowsy....so I fell asleep. But other than that it was great! My grandma makes the best spinach dip ever! And she still had some left over, so I packed it for lunch today. It's amazingly good.
Where did November go? One moment it's here, the next it's gone. And now, their playing Christmas music. How weird is that? By the time the twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth come around I am going to be sick of Christmas music. You cannot, or shouldn't, overdo it. Really.
I finally got out of my writers block, thank goodness, and so I have been progressing in my story! I'll put up the prologue today. (Yes yes, I know I said I would like a month ago, but cut me some slack! I've been busy!) lol
Oh my gosh! Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End comes out in SIX days. I am SO SO SO SO excited. Like, hyperventilating. But, mom says I have to wait for Christmas. HOW am I going to do that? That's like telling a bird not to sing until a certain date, or a pig not to eat...or something that is absolutely necessary for them to survive. (I'm goofy, I know, but this is a HUGE thing for me. *Jumps up and down*) I am so excited, super super super excited.
I finally got enough money for that digital camera I need to get for England! And, it's on sale, which is just great! Hopefully it won't go off sale before I get it. *Sighs* And then I need memory cards, and a couple extra batteries....ugh.
Speaking of England, that is four months away. I'm starting to get a little nervous....but I am very excited. The one thing is, though, that once I'm there it will be over before I know it....and then I'll be on the plane home thinking about how great it was....and I'll wonder where the eight days went. BUT, I will have a LOT to tell you, seeing as I will be there during Easter! I get to go to one of those huge Catholic churches, how cool is that?!?
My ipod busted, so I have to ask for one for Christmas. I don't know what happened. It was fine the night before, and then when I went to plug it into the computer it got really really hot, and smelled like burning electronics, so I unplugged it and let it cool off. Now it won't turn on, charge, or anything. I am so unlucky! I can't get everything for Christmas, I still don't have a job...(application is getting in tomorrow), and the money I do get is going towards England expenses. U.g.h.
I am also thinking of changing my blog's layout. It needs to be more....Piratey. lol
Well, I'll see you all later! Have a great day!
Anna
P.S. Happy birthday Jennifer!!!!! |

Nov. 15, 2007 A bunch of randomness...
Hmm. So, basically, I've been busy lately and haven't had the time to update. But now I will!! Because, well, I have the time. lol
The rest of camp was interesting, and that was so long ago now. lol I don't really remember what happened after that. Oh well. xD I was really into devotions and stuff, I felt so close to God, but when you get home reality snaps back into place and you have so much to do you feel like you don't have enough time. Same with me. School and such and trying to find a job....eh. Yet, I have been trying to read the Bible and pray more, which is good!
We've been getting snow! Can you believe it? So late in the year? And it was like...65 degrees on Sunday, 65 degrees! Can you even remotely believe that? I can't! Usually we get snow at the end of October, early November. Even now there is no snow on the ground. We had a flurry yesterday, sleet, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground. It's actually a bit weird to think about, because by now we should be having hot cocoa and fires in the fireplace...shoveling the driveway, building forts with my brother, watching the dog zip around trying to eat all the snow she lays her eyes on.
And yet, green grass, mild weather, sharp winds, birds still flying around, geese still in the area....very interesting if you really think about it.
My birthday went well. I cannot believe I'm fifteen! It just hasn't hit me yet. Another year and I'll get my license, then two years after that and I'll be an adult in college. Scary. Which means, I have to get good grades. I don't really worry about that though because I hate not getting good grades.
So, for my birthday, we went to the Science Museum to see the exhibit of Pompeii. In the year 79 A.D., Mount Vesuvius exploded, covering this small city called Pompeii with hot molten lava, ash, and smoke. The people who didn't evacuate were instantly buried alive, turning into stone. Then, after 1400 years, we found the city and began digging it up. What a sight! It was so sudden, they found bread in the oven, having turned to stone. It was really interesting! There were artifacts, which were pretty cool looking, then casts of people in their dying poses. (Kind of creepy) There was this dog on its back, legs in the air, looking as if it had tried to roll over or something, a pig on its side, and then a bunch of people that looked like rock figures. Creepy.
And then I had fun looking around the rest of the place! It was really cool, and I love Science, so I love the Science Museum. It's really amazing, and a good learning experience. I was just sort of sad, though, because they up and moved the rats and two headed snakes in jars to the room where the mummy is. I will never set foot in that room, ever. Mark my word on it. Mummies scare me. They're disgusting and...creep me out.
Then my friend wanted me to watch Spiderman one, Spiderman two, and Spiderman three, so we did that. Very...interesting movies, there. Also, we watched the first season of the Office, which....you know, it's really strange. lol And some of Scrubs. I love Scrubs. Ha ha ha.
Thanksgiving is next week! Where did November go? Boy, has time flied. Food, Macy's Day Parade, and so much more...football, etc etc. Family's going to get together and eat and talk and have fun! I'm really excited!
And then comes Christmas preparations. lol
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Nov. 6, 2007 Back from Camp: Part 1.
Alright, I'm back! Wooh. The weekend was a long one, and yet it felt so short. You want to know what I did? Well, I'll tell you.
Alright, so Friday we all piled into our new, huge, fifteen passenger van. There were twelve of us in there in all, and then another smaller car with the boys. So, there was sixteen of us going out to this camp. Alright, so, it was about a two and a half hour trip to Iowa, and then another half hour until we got to the camp grounds. We stopped on the way for Dairy Queen, in which I got some shrimp and found out that I am allergic to it. I got a rash on my arm, my nose was stuffed, and I kept sneezing. *Sighs*
Alright, so we got there about eleven, registered and got our name tags, then made our way to the chapel for worship. It was freezing out! I mean, maybe thirty degrees. NOT FUN! The weekend was themed 'Thirsty', based off of John and the verse wher Jesus talks about being the 'water of life.'
Chapel was interesting. We went through the rules, sang a bunch of songs, listened to a short talk and then a skit, and then were sent to our cabins for 'devo' time and bed. I was very tired, but having not brought a sleeping bag, woke up at least five times, my small wool blanket having fallen off the bed...and me. And then one time I felt sick, my throat hurt, and I needed some water...but there was no water bottle with me and I didn't want to turn on the sink. (The sink wasn't in the bathroom.)
The next morning we got up, headed for a couple songs in the chapel, then ate breakfast. The food there was REALLY good! I mean, very amazingly good. You'd think we had cafeteria food? We didn't. We had waffle sticks, bacon, sausages, yogurt, fruit, and cranberry juice. Yuuuum!
After that we headed to chapel, worshiped more, listened to another talk, sang a bunch of songs...(Some in which we had to jump up and down. Not good when you just ate a meal, lol.) After that we had small group time, where we all got together, our cabin, and talked about what the message was. Let me tell you, there were only about three girls who talked. The rest were silent, and one of them looked...depressed. And yes, I was one of the ones who talked. =D
After that we took some pictures, etc etc, then had lunch. Mmm. Let me see if I can remember what we had. Oh yeah! Chili dogs or corn dogs, your pick, salad, chocolate milk or white milk, and fruit again. It was really fun. We talked and such, the team who ran the whole program came and talked to you, and it was just nice.
After that we have two hours of free time, to do whatever you wanted. The camp store was open, where you could buy candy, and then there was 'foofball' (Typo. It was sooo funny when Peter said that. lol Peter was one of the guys running it. He's pretty cool.), and a bunch of other activities...like making friendship bracelets. I spent the whole time writing in my notebook, drinking my soda, until my youth pastor came by, saw what I was doing, deemed that it could wait until later, and then dragged me off to do some pictures. lol
After that was 'Hydropalooza!' This was two hours of fun and games, that had to do with water, and lots of it. We were split up into eight groups, then put against another group. (I was in group A.) So it was H against Y, D against R, A against T, and E against D2. (It spells HYDRATED2! lol)
The first game we played was dodgeball. You know how that works. Except the leader was on the side, holding two squirt guns, then squirted us during the entire game at random points. We lost. *Sighs*
The next one was really fun! We were given various items, (ex: square of cardboard, five pieces of tape, straws, popscicle sticks, pipe cleaners, and three pieces of paper.) The object was the build the highest tower you could, each person getting thirty seconds to work on it before cycling to the next job. On the other hand, there was two buckets. One was filled with water, the other empty. You had two tangs, a rag, and a cup. You and one other person would run over, you'd dip the cloth into the water, than run over, the cup under so that you wouldn't loose any water, then squeeze the rag and cup into the other bucket. You wanted to get as much water into the bucket as you could, the other team racing against you. Then, once time was up you'd set you tower in the water. The highest tower won. (We won!!)
Then we moved on to a really fun one! It was in the kitchen. All the tables were set up, and the idea was to jump over the benches, get to the end and grab a squirt gun, then slip under the table and start crawling army style to the front, where you had to knock down two army men with the water only. It was really fun, my pants got dirty, but it was worth it! (I got a little wet too. The guns leaked all over the floor.) We tied! lol So, next and last is the tie breaker, no?
The next and last game was in the chapel. We all stood in a line, the center isle empty. The object of the game was to have the spoon, fill it with as many rocks as you could, then pass it down the line to the person at the end. That person would dump the spoon and rocks into the water, then run to the front and it would start all over again. Easy, right? Well, here's the catch. There were uno cards on the chair. You'd pick up a card, and whatever number was on there? That's how many rocks you were allowed for that spoon full. There was also a reverse card, which meant you had to pass the spoon behind you backs, and a draw two card, which mean you got two numbers instead of one. If you dropped the rocks, those stayed on the floor. They were 'poison'. We lost, unfortunately, but had a great time!
Wooow. Look how much I've posted. And there's lots more. I'll have to make this update into two separate ones. xD |

Nov. 1, 2007 A little bit of news and such:
Hey everyone!
So, I went trick-or-treating last night. I know some people don't because of religious reasons...( I am a Christian, but I really don't think it's the 'Devil's Holiday' or anything.) It was SO cold. I was a gypsy, and the outfit was really a big hit! I mean, my friend was a pirate, and everyone thought we were both gypsies. lol
Anyways, the shoes I was wearing were a bit on the small side, plus I was barefoot, so I got a bunch of blisters. NOT FUN. And so we ended up going back to the house and borrowing my mom's friend's clogs. Yeah...weird, but at least I wasn't in pain or barefoot....(Which I was for about twenty minutes when it got TOO painful to walk in them. And a ton of people actually noticed. Woah.)
And I got a lot of candy, since our neighborhood is actually rather hugeish. We did two hours of walking last night, just to hit them all. *Winks* And now? I feel sick. *Rolls eyes*
Anyways, it's November now! Where did October go? I'm confuzzled. I distinctly remember it being October 1st like....two weeks ago! Yeesh! I do like November though. Lovely time of year. Cold, but beautiful. (Until the snow hits. Then I dislike it.)
My birthday is in seven days!!! Woooh! I am really super excited.
And so we are going, with my youth group, to Iowa on a Fall Retreat. I'll be missing you all....but I will be back on Monday to tell you all about it! Would you believe I'm the only one going who's in my grade? Want to know why? I'll tell you. It's my sister's first year of youth, and she barely knows anyone.
So guess who gets to do Latin in the long car ride!
Me. How fun. And my stupid Ipod stopped working, so I won't...
Oh my gosh. I just realized I won't be able to bring it along. Drat drat drat! That makes me VERY annoyed.
*Sighs*
See you all later!
Have a good and safe day!

Oct. 30, 2007 Treason and blog awards!
Okay, so I was awarded another...well...award by Moonflower. Thank you SO much! *Hugs* I really really appreciate it!!!
Hmm. I think I'll give this to giftedgirl . She always has interesting blog entries, and they are all very nicely done and detailed!

I also got the 'You make me smile' award from giftedgirl! Thank you!!! And now I think I will be giving this to Jennifer. I know she already has this one, but she really does make me smile, and I thank her for that! Her blog entries never cease to keep me entertained! *Hugs*

Okay, I know I haven't updated in a bit, and I really don't have much to say, but what I do I will now share with you all! Wooh! lol
Okay, so it was my best friends birthday on Thursday, and we celebrated it yesterday by going to Famous Dave's and eating our hearts out. I have never felt so stuffed before in my entire life! I mean, we ate food. Lots of it...and recently I have barely eaten anything at all, so I suppose it was shocking for my body...too much food to handle. *Groans*
We had ribs, a corn muffin, corn, beans, and ice cream...but two hours before I had had lunch...which was a sandwich, three pumpkin sugar cookies, and a bowl of mushroom soup....PLUS I got home and ate ten little boxes of dots...I wish I could say against my will but I cannot. I have never felt so stuffed in my ENTIRE life. lol I know, I repeat myself, but its true!!!
Okay, the treason part!!! This is a little bit of English history for all of you!
Remember, Remember
The Fifth of November,
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot
We see no reason
Why Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
lol okay. The gunpowder treason happened in...in....I have NO idea, lol, but it was started by a man named Guy Fawkes, who wanted to blow up Parliment. They had thirty-five barrels of gun-powder and were about to blow the place sky high when someone caught them and took the fuse from his hand.
Then Guy Fawkes was sentenced to be hung, drawn, and quartered. NOT a nice way to die at all. I looked it on on wikipedia. Very very gruesome. Disgusting. *Shivers*
Zomg! Halloween is two days away! I am SO excited!!! And I have my costume all ready and everything! Yaaay!
Lots of love,

Oct. 24, 2007 Music attachment.
Kay, so recently I have gotten into this phase where all I want to do is listen to Country. Country country country. I couldn't care less about my 350 other songs on Itunes. lol It's really interesting. And the one person I listen to most is a woman by the name of Sara Evans. She is so good at singing, has some amazing songs...and I can listen to them over and over again without getting sick of them! I love it!!!
Backseat of a Greyhound Bus, Born to Fly, To Be Happy, Rocking Horse, and I Feel It Comin' On are a couple of my favorites. As If is amazing too.
And then there are others too. Toby Keith, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley are good...as well as Rodney Atkins and Taylor Swift. I am a Country addict. Someone help me! =D
In other news....omg! My birthday is 15 days away. I am so so SO utterly excited. We are celebrating my birthday the same day my baby brother is getting baptized. Exciting, right?
And my grandma got back from the fiery smoking plains of southern California. Isn't it awful?? I can't believe it. All those trees being burned, a bunch of History is being destroyed, homes and families being torn apart...I used to live there. I can't believe how much has changed, how much destruction is happening. It's awful. Really sad... |

Oct. 22, 2007 Pirates 3 pic
Omg. This is SO funny. So, when my best friend and I went to see the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, we had dressed up in some Pirate stuff. (This is at the theater, first showing ever. The 8:00 showing.) So, while we were walking around we saw these guys. And it was really hilarious. We asked for a picture and we got it...and then we ended up sitting next to them! LOL!!

Kay, this is me. Shocking...I know. Scary, right? LOL. Anyways, I am a bridesmaid, as you all know...and my hair was all pretty and I had flowers...etcetera etcetera etcetera.

And this is me and my best friend, Anna. We were standing behind a couple of pines trees located in the area. xD
And there you have it. I might put up more...but the others are WAY creepy. Like, you'd be horrified if you saw some of my facial expressions...lol. |
