Wow...that's a lot of books in one month!! Are you enjoying Lemony Snicket?? That series was really entertaining. I indulged myself in some fluff for once and actually enjoyed it. ;-)

I am looking forward to your review of The Girl of the Limberlost. Oh, and I'm glad to see so much Lloyd Alexander...the only books I've read by him are his Prydain Chronicles. Most of them are children's books, which I don't normally take the time to read. How was The Illyrian Adventure?

I've never read any Agatha Christie, either. =O

My September list is veeeeery short compared to yours:
Merlin by Stephen Lawhead
Purgatory by Fr. F.X. Schouppe
Mother Teresa: A Simple Path compiled by Lucinda Vardey
J.R.R. Tolkien by Deborah Rogers & Ivor Rogers
Coming Soon: Unlocking the Book of Revelation and Applying Its Lessons Today by Michael Barber
Pierced by a Sword by Bud MacFarlane, Jr.

I also started Sir Gibbie (George MacDonald) and Arthur (Stephen Lawhead), but didn't finish them within the month.

That's only like a third of what you read!!!

It's about time I replied to your comments! You have been very good about commenting.

I agree with what you said about how gaining good character is harder than having it in the first place. Or retrieving good character, as I know all too well.

Yes, I thought that the Westing Game was a great book to do a review on, and yes, it did have a LOT of storylines! However, the plot(s) were so entirely intriguing, that whenever I hear the name of the book I just rave about it! I have problem with raving about things. I think it puts some people off.

About what you said about Mr. Darcy, how could you? Now that I have read the book numerous times, and know the story pretty well, I am constantly wondering what Mr. Darcy is thinking as the events pan out.

About Mr. Bennet, yes, he could have loved his wife a little more, but he also could have chosen someone else entirely!

I, too, keep a book log, although I am not doing so well lately. In about a year I have read about one hundred books. I used to think I could read much more than that, but I guess that showed me!

Okay, sorry for the long comment. I'll say goodbye for now.

Wow! How inspiring to me to see how many books you've read in the past month! Unfortunately, I don't do near as much reading as I should, I seem to let life's craziness take away my reading time. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi!

I just read your book suggestions on the SAYR, and I've read just about all of the books you suggested. I LOVE the Giver! Have you read the books following The Giver (Gathering Blue and The Messenger)? :D I'm also a big SOUE fan. :) This will be so much fun!
