Amazing Treasures

Girls
are like apples
on trees. The best ones
are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach
for the good ones because they
are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples
from the ground that aren't as good,
but easy to grasp. So the apples at the top think
something is wrong with them, when in
reality, they're amazing. They just
have to wait for the right boy to
come along, the one who's
brave enough to climb

all the way
to the top
of the tree.

I've heard this before and just read it recently on a friend's blog. I think this is a perfect illustration of life as a daughter of God. It can be so hard sometimes... and I definately know the feelings of "is it just me?" and "what's my problem?". This is definately a great reminder of how beautiful and precious I am in God's eyes... and a challenge to young men!

Have a blessed week!

What a wonderful insight. I wish all young ladies in waiting could have this insight. Then more would be the apple of the Lords eye.

Thank you for your sweet words.

I saw that on another friends blog too. I look at it, and I think it's so true. Though, us girls need to watch out and be sure that the men we choose to be around aren't bad apples either. It would be just as much a shame to see a good woman marry a rotten man, as it would bee to see a good man marry a rotten woman.
What was written was quit true. I had never quite thought of it that way. Thanks for sharing it!

God Bless You!
Lilly

P.S.
I usually read your blog posts, I just don't always comment because I don't have much time. Please don't think I just added you to my friends, then forgot you existed. I think your posts are excellent, thought provoking, and always very true.

You had to "sleep" on a love seat? Oh my, I'm tall too, so I know how uncomfortable that was! Sorry that your night was sleepless. At least the tow trucks and police cars went away after a couple hours, but in my experience, love seats don't grow longer... lol.

Thanks! Looks like you've been blogging for almost a year too! I hope that you will continue to make friends and uplift people with your insightful posts for many more years to come!

God Bless You!

Oh okay, yeah, that works! :) Thats really neat!!

Yeah, it is! I love it. My mom isn't so much but my dad loves to play the piano and sing so he kinda got us hooked. :)

It's always a good thing to remember that!
And it's something I have to keep in mind all the time.
