God is AWESOME!

Hi--I just wanted to let you all know that God answers prayers when we ask HIM!  I am sure you all know that already but I wanted to share my story.  In my last post I mentioned reviewing the high school e-book.  With us about to move we had considered putting the kids back into public school for various reasons.  Well I really didn't want to do it for my own reasons so I just prayed really hard about it.  I researched schools and found out some info and as time went on, it has become clearer and clearer to us (my hubby was originally the public school advocate) that home is where they BOTH need to be next year.  He has almost completely changed his opinion 180 degrees about school.  I am so thankful that God is answering my prayers and making it clear where He wants our kids!!  So now, when we move we will have to figure out where we are going to hold our school--dining room, their rooms, whatever.  We won't have an extra bedroom just for school like here.  I would love to hear how and where you do your school work.  Please share any tips you have that help out your family.

Apr. 10, 2006 - Where we school.

Posted by 4beachbabies
We have done school everywhere. In our last home we did it in the family room and eat in kitchen at the bar. It worked well. Then we were in transition and staying at my parents and we did it upstairs in their bonus room. It worked, not the best situation but everyone got educated.
Now we are in our new home and this is a first, but we have a homeschool room. It does make it easier and I do love it. The thing is they are learning in that room just like they learned at the table or the fold out table at my moms. This is homeschool it happens where it happens. Alot of our school is done all over the place also. In the car, in the store, at the park, in the backyard. So if you don't have a set room, your fine. Do it where you can.
Blessings,
Andrea

Nov. 18, 2006 - Isn't God great...

He always answers our prayers and I've also found that He answers prayers that we haven't even asked yet. We started homeschooling 14 years ago. I was against homeschooling, mostly because I didn't know anything about it. When my sone turned five, in September, he was going to have a 45 minute bus ride one way, and a full day of Kindergarten. I just wasn't ready to give him up for that long yet. So we decided not to send him to kindergarten that year. Through the next year God put homeschoolers in our path and the rest is history. I'm half-way there, Lord Willing, we have another 14 years to go.
