Staying at home and loving it!

Hello new friends!  I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who have been so supportive and kind while I have not been feeling well.  Everyone is so sweet, even though they do not know me.

Today we did not get any school done because I was still not feeling well.  We babysat a friend's 2 girls today and that made for an interesting day.  It is always interesting when you watch kids together.  My daughter loves to play with her friends, but sometimes they argue with each other as if they were sisters!!

Anyway, my 13 year old son is so awesome and such a wonderful help to me.  He helped me watch the girls today.  After the girls got picked up, he watched his sister while I laid down and took a loooong 2 hour nap!!!  After I woke up, he made us a dinner of scrambled eggs and biscuits!  Then he took out the trash and recycling for tomorrows pick-up.  He loves Jesus and has been dedicated lately to doing a nightly devotional--for almost 3 weeks now.  He is growing a lot spiritually.  I really am truly blessed for having such wonderful, loving, and caring children.

My 8 year old is so sweet and caring and tender hearted.  She has Jesus in her heart with such a child-like innocence and trust.  She listens to our Christian radio station every night before bed and all day during the day.  Her absolute favorite song is "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me.

I am so blessed with such a wonderful husband and wonderful children.  That is why I am a stay at home mom and loving it!!!

More of the same!

Well today we did school then we went bowling with our homeschool group.  The kids had a lot of fun but it made my headache come back even more!  It was a rainy day today so that didn't help any.  Anyway, that's life!  I would love to hear from anyone about their school days--what curriculum do you use, how do you schedule your days, etc.  I am always curious to know how others do it!!  I haven't been able to scrapbook in awhile so I am having withdrawals!!!  LOL  I am working on my new business but having a hard time right now since I haven't been feeling well.  I am close to having enough to close my first class so I can get my stuff--I can't wait!!!  Oh, I guess I can share this--Sunday at church there was a special speaker and he talked about relationships--about how things change when you get married, the excitement, romance, etc.  Then at the end of the message he had all the couples stand up and "renew their vows" to each other.  It was really sweet!!  Then today my husband came home with flowers for me--my favorite kind in my favorite color!!!  He said it was because it had been awhile and he wanted to show me he loved me!  It was soooo sweeeeet and made me want to cry!!!  Anyway, thought I would share that.  More tomorrow!

A little under the weather

Well my first post will not be much.  My sinuses are killing me with this South Carolina weather so I haven't been very useful today.  I have tried to do some things to work towards my new scrapbooking business.  Then I got this blog up and running so I guess that's a productive day for the first day!

We'll see what tomorrow brings for us!
