Mar. 23, 2008 - ~* Rosetta Stone Curriculum Contest!*~
Jen Ig is hostessing a contest for a FREE Rosetta Stone Language Curriculum:
Rosetta Stone has been the #1 foreign language curriculum among homeschoolers for a while -- next week they are unleashing a brand new curriculum, and you can WIN the *all new* Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3… FOR FREE!
This is a $219 program (and believe me it's worth every penny!) and the winner gets to pick from any of these 14 languages: Spanish (Spain or Latin America), English (American or British), Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Irish, Hebrew, or Russian.
This will also include a headset with microphone, and students will participate in lifelike conversations and actually produce language to advance through the program. Rosetta Stone still incorporates listening, reading and writing as well, in addition to speaking. Many homeschoolers requested grammar and vocabulary exercises, and with Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3, they're included! For parents, the new Parent Administrative Tools are integrated into the program and allow parents to easily enroll students in any of 12 predetermined lesson plans, monitor student progress, and view and print reports.
To win this most excellent program -- in the language of your choice -- copy these (blue) paragraphs and post it in (or as) your next blog post -- then to enter the contest, go to the original contest page HERE: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/JenIG/501132/ and leave a comment with the link showing where you blogged about it. And please make sure the link works to get back to the original contest page when you post it. And good luck! The winner will be picked randomly on March 26, and will be notified thru the link they left to their blog pg. And if you have more than one blog, you can post them and enter those separately for more chances to win. Yay for free stuff!

Jul. 9, 2007 - ~* New Things are Happening at TTC...*~

.....TTC is trying out a new home and I need your input. I'm trying to make this move for two main reasons: because homeschoolblogger can't/won't work with javascript and I need that for Faith-Lift Fridays, and partly because of people that aren't hsb members having to always remember to type out their URL's.
How you can help, first use see if the Mr. Linky works for you. Second, leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on my new place. (Click on the above picture to link to the post with Mr. Linky)

Jul. 7, 2007 - ~* Tags & Meme's *~

His Girl at Walking Along the Road tagged me for an "8 Things" meme, and Annie from My Life as Annie had an "anyone can play" meme not too long back...and since tonight is relax night, I thought these two memes would be fun to do.
First, 8 Things
The Rules:
The rules are simple…Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The
rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are
listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their
names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know
that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
Since I've done a similar meme before, I thought I'd make this one more "themed".
8 Blogging Blessings from this week
1. Being awarded the Blogger Reflection Award by Annie
2. Winning and Receiving this
from Barb at A Chelsea Morning
3. Learning about this Magazine
(thanks, Eleanor Joyce, for the tip!)
4. Getting re-connected with a blogging buddy
5. Reading and being blessed by A Flyover Blog, A Dusty Frame, and
Reluctant Entertainer (new-to-me-blogs)
6. Sharing in Laura's (I'm an Organizing Junkie) Menu Plan Mondays this week and each week
7. Sharing in Annie's (My Life as Annie) Time Travel Tuesdays this week and each week
8. Enjoying a wonderful beginning to Faith-Lift Fridays
Alternate Careers From Annie at My Life as Annie

Here's how to play:
If you had the opportunity to do a 1-year internship in a company or field completely unrelated to your current career or specialty, what would be your top 5 choices?
mine are:
* A writer for a travel magazine (if I could choose my destinations ;)
* A photographer for a home decor magazine
* A photographer for a food magazine
* A photographer for a floral magazine
* A photographer for a travel magazine
Instead of tagging certain people, I choose Y O U! Please leave a comment so I can visit and read your
8 Things and/or 5 Alternate Careers.

Jul. 6, 2007 - ~* One Woman Making a Difference to Many *~
Watch this amazing video at A Flyover Blog
What an important reminder to offer what we have...and that what we have can be multiplied and blessed beyond our wildest imaginings. Remember the little boy with the loaves and fishes? Remember after that little lunch was placed in Jesus' hands how the multitudes were fed and how much was left over?
What's in your hand?
