MSN Encarata dictionary defines a hero as:

Definition: 1. remarkably brave person: somebody who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown ... quality such as great courage or strength of character.

Just another example of heroic behavior by our military.

Jun. 27, 2006 - Very moving article.

This one should be nominated for a Pulitzer -- and hopefully it will win. The story is so beautiful and emotionally wrenching. It shows the reality of war without trying to advance a political agenda. I hope it is passed around to many people, those for and against the war, so they can see what really happens behind the scenes, after the media hype fades away.

Thank you for the link. I've been praying lots more today for my BIL. He is USAF and serving in the Middle East now. Three weeks remaining on his deployment.

It is difficult to read, it makes me feel so sad. You're right, it speaks volumes about courage and heroism. I agree with Amethyst, too. It rises above politics and whatever feelings each of us has about the war. http://momof3feistykids.homeschooljournal.net/
