Mar. 7, 2007 - ~* Feminist Body *~

So, are you enjoying the party so far? It's been fun sharing coffee, introducing ourselves, and even playing some games. But, really, the fun thing about girl parties is...well, girl talk!
So...in the interest of sharing girl secrets, there's something you should know...my body is a feminist.
I mean, emotionally, spiritually, and in almost every way, I'm an old fashioned girl. I love my one and only even more than I loved him when we were in our teens. I love being a wife, mom, staying at home, homeschooling. But my body is a total rebel! To be specific, it's my hair! My hair definitely is feminist! It's demanding equal time in parts of my body I had no idea it wanted to go. I mean, it's literally moving and taking over areas that it has no right to be in. And it's decided to leave it's perfectly proper place on top of my head and travel in a southwardly direction. Men, really, should be the only ones fighting side burns and nose-hairs. But as I said, my hair is demanding equality, so I now have the pleasure of fighting it's migration. And what's up with the chin and neck takeover? Seriously, here my hair had a primo location to show all it's glory...but is that good enough for it? NOOOoooooo!
So, I waste perfectly good minutes which adds to perfectly good hours which adds to perfectly good days which adds to...well, you get the drift.
It's getting to the point I'm afraid to get dressed each day...wondering where else I'll be sprouting.
So...I've done the only thing left to do in this situation...hey, what else can a girl do when her hair is determined to migrate?!

Mar. 7, 2007 - the challenge...

Sheryl,
Say it isn't so! I get my eyebrows waxed... went to an asian place once and before I knew it the lady had waxed my face too! It was crazy... I'm blonde so I have little blonde hairs on my face. I was afraid I would grow a dark 'beard' after this experience, but didn't. Now I am always careful to say "eyebrows only." (My face was extra soft though :) )
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I want a Kone too! They are really cool and while I demonstrated to my mom how to use it I wanted it even more.
Have a nice evening!
blessings~

Nature definitely seems to have a perverse sense of humor.
