Taking the Challenge

Feb. 28, 2006 - ~* Variety, Sameness, & God *~

                           Variety, Sameness, & God Re-Post

I am always amazed at God's creation.  Obviously, just the vastness inspires awe.  Additionally, I'm always in wonder at the variety within sameness.  I mean...look at leaves as an example: I've read that no two leaves are exactly alike and yet, one can always distinguish the maple leaf from the oak leaf.

Even grass and snowflakes  (things that exist for such a sort span of time) have variety and sameness built into each blade, each flake.

One can never get bored examining the variety, and one can (at the same time) feel secure in the sameness.  When a tulip bulb is planted, there's no fear it will show up as a squash plant.  It will be a tulip, unique to itself, and yet same to its kind.

Such a grand reminder of God's complexity and awesomeness.  Such a beautiful remembrance of His sameness.

How wonderful, how amazing is the Great Creator!  How I delight and find freedom in His variety.  How I enjoy and find security in His sameness.
