Asian-style chicken wings*

  (Thanks, Bridget, your recipe reminded me of this long-lost

     family favorite.  They were happy to see it back on the menu :)

^NOTE: only used 1/3 C ketchup, several dashes of Worcestershire,  several dashes of paprika, light on the cayenne and mustard.  Changed the water for the crockpot, to a 14 oz can of beef broth.

Asian Style Wings

Ingredients

2 pkgs party style wings

garlic granules and pepper to taste

1 Tbs sesame oil

1/2 C soy sauce

3/4 C chardonnay

1/2 tsp ginger

2 tsp minced garlic

Directions

Rinse wings and place in broiler-safe pan.  Sprinkle with garlic granules and pepper.

to taste. Drizzle with Sesame oil.   Broil until lightly browned.   Turn pieces and return to broiler until other side is lightly browned.

Place browned wings into crockpot. 

Mix together soy sauce, chardonnay, ginger, and garlic.  Pour over wings.

Cook on high 3-4 hours or on low 5-6 hours.

Serve over steamed rice or with cheesy rice as a side.
