You Know You're a Homeschooler When.......

Instead of throwing away  the dead ants and moth larvae in the trash, you get real excited putting the specimens under a microscope to view under high magnification. And, your kids are also excited to see the magnified body parts.

Your husband decides to videotape the almost dying moth from the microscope lens.

You own 4  or more different library cards.

Solve the Rubik's Cube

My husband loves to solve the Rubik's cube! He's teaching our 3 boys to look and think where the colored cube should go. I have never been able to solve it completely, just one side.  He has taped it on YouTube on how he gets the colors back in the right places.

Me and a Famous Homeschool Speaker

Ginger Plowman who wrote Don't Make Me Count To Three was very gracious to allow my husband to take a picture of us when she came to speak at our church.  If you are looking for  applicable  biblical parenting, check out her books.

About Me

The name of our homeschool is Tallwoods Christian School. In CA, families homeschool under the private school affidavit and, thus, get to name their school. Not being a creative person, I took the name "Tallwoods" from our home association when we lived in No. VA. The rest of the school name is explanatory. Thanks for reading and visiting my blog site.
