I realized I never was asleep but in a place where everything was bright. I waited not knowing what i could do then after a while Katie appeared out of no where. Katie looked puzzled "why am i here"she asked
"i dont know."
"theres nothing here except..............."
"Hey why did you stop in mid......." I stopped talking too when I saw the gate in front of me it was bright gold. "how do we get to that gate" but i spoke too soon because a group of steps appeared that led up to the gates."I guess that answers your question. Come on lets explore," she told me.
"ok looks interesting anyway."
We walked to the gate and tried to push it open. The door stuck fast. "Maybe there's a puzzle to the door."Katie said. Looking closer at it, I noticed the door had two little ornaments close to the middle I tugged on one and it swung open there was a button inside.I pushed it, but nothing happened. "Try the other one" she told me It also opened "Try pushing both at the same time." This time it worked It opened smoothly and effectively into a narrow room with an alter at the end,on top of it were two small blue crystals. What are these i said picking one up
"I don't know" she said picking the other up.
The crystals glowed red letting off a high pitch ringing sound that hurt my ears then it melted into our skin. "what just happened?"
"dont know," i answered "seems harmless though."
"It is harmless" a load booming voice said from the alter.
"Wh....Who are you"
"Do not be afraid im gabriel a messenger of god. Ive been sent to give gifts to help you on your adventure." we could see him now his wings folded along his body."For you Matthew youre strength will be increased by tenfold but you shall look the same also you will be able to use any weapon as a master.Katie for you you will be able to turn yourself and up to three people into any animal you can imagine when you are standing in water this will last even if you walk out of it but in order to change back you must stand in water again."
"but whats it for" i asked.
"The place you are headed is dangerous many people there worship the devil and this has caused them to change shape into horrific monsters. Once you leave this place the only way you can ask for help is to speak to god but he might not always help he doesnt want to control peoples lives. you shall meet several people who will help you they wont be as powerful having only physically possible powers but they will help. god will send you back now" he said and he dissappeared i felt something moving underneath my feet so i looked down a hole was forming it grew to the right length and me and katie fell through.
When we touched ground it felt kind of soft but was really rock. we were back in the cave. there were only two differences A little cavelier king charles spaniel was waiting for us and i could now read the incription on the wall it said:
Those who wish to help god bring a silver hawk here and place it on the pedistal.
The crystals must have let us understand any language.
