Kate seated herself at the bar, looking warily at those around her. One thing her travels had taught her was to always keep both eyes open and look ahead. The grim bar keep came over to her, scrubbing out an extremely mucky glass; the rag he was scrubbing with wasn't much better.

"What'll it be?"

"Water." Kate grunted with no emotion in her voice. The bar keep poured some grey water into the mucky glass and slid it across the counter.

"Anything else?"

"Your name and the whereabouts of Cruaf Hatcherson."

"Name is none of your business; I own this place is all you need know. Hatcherson would be no where I want to be."

"Anything a bit more helpful?"

"Center of the town, on Breaol. Shouldn't have a problem with him but don't make that man mad; he'll kill you before you can even pull the blade. Never seen anyone faster!"

With a nod of thanks and a flick of a coin, Kate was making her way for the door. Not three feet from the door, a man stuck his foot out quicker then a flash and tripped her. Standing quickly and facing the man, Kate growled "Problem?"

"Yeah, we got a prob'em! We don't like women like you in here!"
"Its not my problem that you're thick-headed! Good day!" KAte turned but the man grabbed her shoulder and turned her around. Before he could say another word, she grabbed his wrist and pushed it back towards him.

"You keep your hands off me, hear?"

"Why you!" he growled and he pulled a fist back to punch her. Ducking out of teh way and tucking her right fist into his gut, she let go of his wrist and he dropped to the floor. By this time, his friends were standing and helping the leader up. Kate turned to the door again.

"Come on Zornok! you can get her!" the smallest of his companions squeeked. Letting out a large bellow, Zornok charged her. All KAte did was move to the side when he was close and then kicked his lower back when he had passed. He fell with a startled yelp and KAte shoved her boot into the base of his neck.

"Rule number one, and listen close, never fight drunk or angry!"

He yelled again and tried to roll over but the pressure on his neck was immense. She smirked when he hands went behind his head in submission and went through the door to mount up.

Riding to the where the bar keep had told her, Kate's mind was a tornado of quetions but none had answers.

It wasn't long before KAte came up on a large house witha large gate and a guard standing in front.

"Yes, missy?" he piped. His voice was cracked with age and he barely stood above her horse's shoulder.

"I'm here to see Cruaf; he's an old friend of mine!"

"You can go in but leave the weapons with me, if you please!"

"Gladly!" she said. It didn't matter to her as long as she got them back and that she had five other small knives hidden on her person.

The guard opened the gate and she rode through a beautiful, well-kept garden filled with peonies, roses, fox gloves and many others. Cruaf's father was a merchant who made plently of money but wanted to live in a small town. When Kate had left, there had been no gate and no twenty foot wall surronding the large house.

Leaving her roan, Sini, with the man at the front of the house, Kate was lead into the marble entrance hall. Her escort bade her to wait where she was, not to touch anything and to walk as little as possible. He did not like the state of her mud washed boots and dirty hands.

"I heard you the first time, Bernard! I know she's 'a fifthy little pip-squeek' as you put it but I will see her none the less!" Cruaf's voice laughed. Kate smiled when she heard all the laughter it held.

She turned to look up the stairs and saw, not the childhood friend she had left behind but a tall, handsome man. His hair had darkened and hung just below his ears in waves. He had been shorter then her but now stood more then a head taller and his eyes were the color of moss just after the rain.

"Hello Cruaf!" she smiled.

to the one who wrote anonoumously (can't spell!), I know exactly what you mean! Esstellalim always seems to win these things!! I've tried writing books with characters my own age but they come out sounding stupid! :)

recently, though, i have found myself doubting whether or not I should do this. I have re-written one scene FIFTEEN times because I will have a dream playing out the scene in the book and it doesn't work! Its a simple part, nothing major and nothing really big. The character I'm tryin to give a good death scene (that sounds REALLY stupid!) isn't a character I like. I wrote him and created him but i don't like him. He drives me nuts! I hope I make my readers annoyed with him as well, but still sorta like him so that when he dies they don't sigh with relief and say "Finally, Kate! Jeez that took forever!" that is not what I want to happen! This character (I don't want to name him in case my readers here read my book when its published and they already know he's gonna die!) is semi-inspired by a kid from my Homeschool group that is cocky and sorta annoying. He ALWAYS thinks he's right, even if he's wrong, he's right! he thinks he's right more then any other teenage guy I have met and they ALL think they are right! (hahaha!) But this character REALLY is annoying! ARG!

Another thing that sorta made me think was the fact that my sister's friend Nicky, has started to write. I told her a while ago that I'm writing this book and then about a month later, she was telling her mom that she was going to write, like me! I thought that was so cool and it made me feel great inside. I'm sorta realizing that what I do and say in life does effect those around me! It never really hit me that way; I have always thought that I couldn't have anything to say of worth that would really effect someone's life! Nicky told me later when I asked her about her book, that I was the inspiartion for it. she said that she thought it was awesome that i was writing and that she knew me. She told me that she thought it was cool she knew an author that was going to be published and that she can't wait to buy and read it! It made me feel so awesome inside!!! :) HAPPY KATE!!!

so there is an idea that just came up inside and I'm just going to go BLAH on this post real quick! tell me what you think of the BLAH!

As she lay on her stomach in the cool grass, Kate sighed. She could have stayed there for forever and listened to the birds in the trees and the creek dancing over the stones. She could just barely hear a squirrel scampering through the fallen leaves. She wished she could have stayed there but there was work to be done.

Pushing herself up with a groan, she strapped her belt back around her thin waist and groaned once more. The sword and the dagger that hung from the belt felt heavier then it had. the sword was elaborate with a heavily decorated hilt and intricate designs running up and down the blade. She had won this sword when she was barely sixteen from the General of Blootiva. He had insulted her and her family and since her father was dead and her brother too young to even lift a sword, she fought him.

The dagger was the oppisite of the sword. Her best friend had amde it for her. The hilt was stained wood and the hommel was only a circular knob. It did not matter to her what it looked like; he was her greatest and truest friend and the blade had proved itself great through many battles.

Mounting her roan stallion, Kate sighed again. She could not wait to be home and the sooner the better. She had been gone for three years and she NEEDED to see all of them. What would Breaol (her brother) look like now that he was nearly twleve years old? would the town be the same as when she had left? All the way home, she wondered things like this.

It took forever, it seemed, until she was riding through the gates of Swan Tail and as she rode through the streets, she saw no familar faces. There were no calls of welcome, only scowls and suspious faces, wondering if kate would do them harm. This worried her for Swan Tail had been a place of welcome for all, the people were trusting (sometimes too much) and everyone knew everyone. What had changed her home?

"Excuse me?" she said gently to a passing man. His face, arms and legs were fifthy and he was missing nearly all his teeth.

"what do you want?" he growling in disgust.

Keeping her face calm , she asked, "I was wondering if you could tell me where I might find the Widow Meadowlark?"

"She's been dead for three years! Her son lives in that house now, if you want to call it a house. I'd stay clear of him, wench; his temper is feirce and his dagger unforgiving! be on your way!" he walked off and left Kate shocked at the news. Her mother was dead and her brother was feared; all this seemed wrong. Breaol would not have hurt a soul and now at only twelve, he was vicious? It could not be! A tear rolled down her tanned, dirty cheek.

Riding towards the center of town,hoping to find her old friend, Cruaf, Kate kept a wary eye on her saddlebags. Hitching the roan to a post outside the Dragon's Wing bar and setting a spell on her bags to prevent intruders, she walked in.

The atmosphere was smoky and smell terribly of rotten eggs and whiskey. Pulling her hood up so that it shadowed her face, she walked up to the bar keeper. He was a large man witha scruffy beard and mustache but no hair on the top of his head. His eyes were a dark black with no life and his frown seemed permanent. An ugly creature was tattooed on his upper arm and was bleaker then the man himself.

Like I said earlier, this was just BLAH so if its terrible, I'm sorry you had to endure it! :)

hello to all!

9:01 PM, May. 23, 2008 .. 3 comments .. Link

Hi there! I've been gone for a while. My sister and I have been finishing up our schoolwork and such and there has hardly been anything to write about.

I think I am finally beginning to appreciate those authors who I love so much - J.K. Rowling, J.R.R.Tolkien, Jane Austen, Christopher Paolini, Tamora Peirce, etc. My book has taken up alot of my time and I am running a bit low on patience. This book has taken me five years to finish writing and now that its finally 'done', I realize its not over yet. I'm almost finished with the grammar editing but still have much more to add in in a way that sounds right, clear things up so my readers aren't confused and so on. I never thought that just writing down my thoughts would be work! Then there is the nightmare of publishing it and sending 'my baby' out into the world for people to read. There are so many other fantasy novels out there that a fresh, new idea is hard to come by. Paolini has published two books (soon to be three and then four) and people are starting to tear his work apart. He took the awesome title of 'youngest author of teh day' when he published 'Eragon', Tolkien set us all out on our journey into the fantasy realm by paving the road for the first time. The rest of the authors in his time were writing tales of war and romance and such and there really had not been tales of fantasy out there. Even my friend Hannah and I were jokingly argueing about who gets to be the one who wins the title 'one of the youngest female fantasy authors"! She is writing as well and her tale is very original and very good. Its weird becasue I saw the movie "Nim's Island" the other day and the character she writes about is always in her mind and she'll even 'talk' to him. I must admit that there are times where my characters will 'talk' to me. I have had a dream where a character that I had to kill off dame out of my book and was yelling at me because I had killed him. Esstellalim, teh character based off of me, or who I want to be really, has seemed to scream at me sometimes. THis may sound completely crazy but...my characters are mine. They are my friends, my enemies, my animals, the setting is the world that I go to in my dreams and everything I have written down has been something from my dream. I have litterally woken up in the night, grabbed a peice of paper and a pen, and started to scribble things down. THey may just be notes and babble to someone else but I know what they are. I have started to write a paragraph from teh middle of an untold tale and just gone with it. Some of these things will never be published, other might turn out to be a novel that comes after "The Fight for Tyra". I'm not even sure if 'Tyra" will make it. Esstellalim may find that this is one battle she cannot win, but she will fight it and I will be happy if I can go into Barnes and Noble store and see my book on one of their shelves. There are some days when I would love to be talking on TV about my book turning into a movie, or the second coming out or whatever but I think I will be contented and pleased with myself if I can just see it on the shelves with an emerald spine with fancy gold lettering on the spine, swirling out the words "Fight for Tyra". I might change my name to sound more author like; an illertiartion...perhaps Kate Kunningham or something. I might even dig something up from an old Greek myth or something. That would be kind of cool!

This is all just babble but its my blog so....I think I can do whatever on here!! hehehe!

hope ya'll weren't too bored! :)

two awesome movies

4:04 PM, May. 5, 2008 .. 3 comments .. Link

OK, so while I was being a some-waht bad person (got grounded) I did get to go see an awesome movie (it was homewrok too!!!). THis movie was Expelled with Ben Stein. It is apsolutely awesome! I got lost in a place or two but it was very interesting and, in parts, entertaining! It exposes that the theory (which I think is completely TRUE) of Intelligent Design is being shunned (we all knew that already but, hey) and the people who may only mention it are being fired, regarded as uncrediable, and so on. Ben Stein also brings in somethings about abortion (aka Murder), the Holocaust and other things! It is apsolutely amazing and I highly recomend it!

The second movie is Ironman. The begining of this movie is bad but the rest is VERY good and incredibly entertaining!!! The graphics were awesome, it was funny, and it was just really awesome! There was one part that nearly made me cry though. Ironman has these AMAZING cars in his garage. One of these awesome, sweet, beautiful, wonderful cars is a midnight blue with a white stripe classic Jaguar. When practicing his flight abilities, he looses control and crushes it! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! not fair!!!!!! It was VERY sad and made my eyes sting! :) jk! but when it got squashed, my friends and i whimpered and it was very sad. Poor car! I hope they didn't use an actual Jaguar! That would not be in my will power to crush it!

I will see ya;ll later and try and post a pic of me and my friends at graduation! :)

modesty!

9:00 PM, May. 1, 2008 .. 0 comments .. Link

Something has been coming up lately...modesty!

Normally when you think someone should be modest it normally comes to just girls! Yes, its mostly girls being unmodest and we seem to have the biggest problem but guys are guilty of it too! The whole pants-so-low-we-see-your-underwear look is not cool and it's unmodest!

The gilr's modesty thing is just plain being covered. Girls need to leave something to the imagination; you don't need to show it off to the world. If you can't bend over without someone seeing down your shirt, CHANGE YOUR SHIRT and throw it away!!! Wear clothes you can actaully do stuff in (other than showing off) and have fun in!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
post on this; share all thoughts! I don't care how long a comment is, just go BLAH!!!!
blah, blah, blah!!!!
9:52 PM, Apr. 28, 2008 .. 6 comments .. Link
hello to all and sorry for the long gap in posts! I was bad girl and got grounded...don't ask!
so not much has been on my mind lately. things have been happening but not much and too much to write on.
i've been working on my book a lot lately, trying to finish the first long period of editing the grammar mistakes and then i take on the grueling trial of adding. Only one of my friends has read my book and the main thing he tells me (yells at me...jk!!!) is MORE DETAIL!! i babble when I talk but apparently not in my writing! need to do it!
Weird things have been coming up since I got my purity ring for my birthday. I wear it always on my left ring finger, where the engagement ring goes, because that's where I think it should go. THought that is where it should go until I am married. Then I will take it off, store it in a safe place and pray that one day I have a daughter who I can give it to. But it does look like an engagement ring or a 'promise ring' to people and I have had four people from my youth ask me who asked. I was a little shocked and it's weird to explain when they have this look on their faces saying they don't believe me. arg!
I don't really have anything else to write about right now or, rather, anything I have the will to write! See ya'll later, give me comments or even some thought that you have had that you think would be interesting to get my thoughts on because I am too lazy to go to all ya'll's blogs and read! ARG!
thoughts rambling about in this teeny tiny brain of mine! hehe
8:47 PM, Mar. 28, 2008 .. 0 comments .. Link
my sixteenth birthday has come and gone and since then, my mind has been going a little crazy!
when I was thirteen, I could not wait until i was sixteen. Movies portrayed it as this wonderful day where the guy the girl is crushing on suddenly loves her which is usually followed up by the girl recieving her first kiss and so on and so forth. I had an immense crush on this guy who I now realize was a jerk and wasn't even as cute as I thought he was then. And this crush wasn't really a crush...he was more of an obsession. To my friends who knew me then, I AM SOOOOOOOO SORRY YOU HAD TO ENDURE MY STUPID, PATHETIC RAVINGS!!!! I WAS A LOONEY!!! Now, I must explain this situation. This guy was 4 years older then me, had no intrest in me what-so-ever, was completely disrespectful of his parents, was a jerk and all this other stuff. Frankly, I'm not sure why I liked him to begin with. Haley, Hannah, Rachel, do you remember and why didn't you slap me upside the head and tell me I was a completel loon?!?!?!?!!?AKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAK!!!!! I had these silly STUPID little daydreams that on my sixteenth birthday, he would suddenly realize he was desperately in love me, propose and so on. (give me a break; i was a REALLY stupid 13-14 year old!!!!!!) The reason it would be on my sixteenth birthday was because mom and dad had told me that I was not allowed to date till then. I hated that!!! I couldn't wait that long! My friend had a boyfriend already and I wanted one!!! Now that I am 16 I keep thinking....WHY? it doesn't seem that big of a deal anymore. College, my book, and faith and such are much more present on my mind then who i would want to date or wishing he would ask me or whatever! now it seems that I have much better things to do with my time then pining for some guy. If he wants to date, he'll ask me. there is a song by BarlowGirl that i apsolutely love! Its called Anthem and one of the lines is "There are trophies to win instead of being one of yours!" My friends say that it is my theme song...I'll probably put it on my playlist and see what ya'll think of it. I love it and think my friends are right! hehehe
my birthday was wonderful! My family and I went to see Horton Hears a Who which I will be buying when it comes out on DVD. It was very cute and funny and ya'll shoudl definetly go see it! Totally worth the movie theater price!!!! Mom and Dad got me a gorgeous purity ring that has my birthstone (aquamarine) in it and doesn't get in my way!! They also got me a full biking outfit; jersey, pants, and gloves. They said that I'll get the shoes at a later time. Mom is going to buy me a dress for the party I am going to have and its great! My friend Cyndle got me the book Mr. Darcy's Diary (a very good book!!!!) and a writer's feather quill. Its a blast to write with but takes some time!! love it tons!!!
I will let ya'll go and see ya'll later!!!
bike ride
9:28 PM, Mar. 10, 2008 .. 6 comments .. Link
I finally got to go on a REAL bike ride! The last one I went on was basically following two people without bikes around a park and barely hitting any trail at all!
There is a trail I love about 30 minutes from our house. Its really simple, the way home is all fast and awesome, there always seems to be a mud puddle somewhere along the way, and its just plain awesome! I got to go on it today with friends and my little sister. the ride was awesome for about an hour then my sister, Sarah, started feeling not so good, a little dizzy and such. But, seeing as she is almost as stubborn as my dad and me, it took a while to convince her that we were heading back to the starting point. Mr. Neil, Aruora (sp?), Christopher, Sarah and I headed back with Chris and I basically racing to the end and Mr. Neil sticking with Sarah and Aruora. I was hitting every single mud puddle I saw, loving the splattering sound, and everything. We met Chris' brother Jonathan and his friend on the way back. At one point, I looked down for a split second and looked back up just in time to see a fallen tree in the way! I slammed on the front brake to slow down and tried to turn but just slid right under the tree limbs (the crown was facing me; I'm glad it wasn't a trunk!!!). I was laughing so hard, it took me a while to stand but up but when I did, there wasn't a scratch on me!!! I was completely amazed! Aruora  was right behind me and saw the whole thing. Jonathan and his friend came around and were all like "What happened? You OK?" I was still laughing my head off!
What I think wast the best part of the ride was when I missed the turn I was supposed to take, and decided that I would just continue on with Aruora and Sarah close behind just in case. There were ruts in front full of mud that didn't look all that deep. I rode through it but my front tire got stuck, stopped, and I went sideways. I didn't get all that muddy but when I stood up and started walking, I lost my footing slid down and got covered in mud! My entire left leg was covered thick in mud! Again, I was laughing incredibly hard!  The three of us caught up with Jonathan, Chris, Mr. Neil and the guy-I can't remember the name of. They were laughing hard when they saw me! The really funny part was when this car pulls up to our group and there is a lady and her around-16-year-old son in the car. The driver says "My son says the girl in mud looks hot!!!" I was right in between shocked, embarressed and trying to figure out what to say. I wasn't sure if thats the kind of thing you say thank you too!   Everyone else was busting up laughing, especially Jonathan. They drove off and it was a little weird! I told my mom and she has been teasing me ever since I got home!!! hehe! what do you say to that though? No one has ever told me that before and it was just weird! The guy riding shotgun kept sinking down in his seat going redder and redder! I had no idea what to say to that! Made me a bit nervous too! not quite sure why but it did!
We found out what was wrong with my shoulder...finally! there is a canal in the shoulder that the tendons go through; mine is just a bit too small. I have to go through physical therapy for now. The doctor doesn't want me to have a surgery until its apsolutely necassary...FINE WITH ME!!!!!!!!!! i already have to have all my wisdom teeth pulled this Thuresday. If I don't have to go under the knife, then I'm not doing anything!!!!!!!
see ya'll!
MY 16TH BIRTHDAY IS ONLY IN 13 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
things on my crazy mind
5:42 PM, Mar. 5, 2008 .. 3 comments .. Link
These few things have been on my mind recently. can't get all my thoughts down on paper in a journal and I want to tell all ya'll so here it goes!
first things first...just becuase a guy and girl hang out DOES NOT MEAN THEY "LIKE" ONE ANOTHER!!!!!!! I have many great guy friends and some of my girl friends are confused. They'll say "i thought you liked him but you were hanging with him alot today? do you like him instead now?" NO! Guys and girls can be JUST friends. If it does go to the next level, koodos to them! happy for them! I'm tired of this being a problem. And it's not just one for me, alot of my other friends, guys and girls, have this problem! If you see someone talking to one of the oppisite sex alot and hanging out and laughing don't jump to the conclusion that they "like" each other or they're dating or whatever! erg! sorry, this has just been on my mind recently.
second...this one is a bigger and I am more passionate on this...don't be offended...gays. At youth, homosexuals came up in the discussion. One of the kids was saying that they are born like that and such; this is not true. Being gay is a choice. its not a disease or something you are born with...its a CHOICE!!! The youth leader said that its sorta like alcholism; some people are born who are more prone to be alcholics than others. This is mainly genetic. If being gay was genetic (meaning you inherited it from a family member) YOU WOULD NOT BE HERE! therefore, that excuse is ruled out. God made Man and Woman to love one another and be with one another forever. If he had wanted us to be gays, he might have put Adam and Evan instead. I think being gay is a freak of nature...it's not right! The Bible says so and that anyone who lies with the same sex, they are to be condemned. To show you how else our society has changed, I will bring us Oscar Wilde (he wrote The Portrait of Dorian Grey, Canterville Ghost and a few other things) He was put on trial for homosexual activities and thrown in jail for such number of years. We now live in a world of tolerance. We are supposed to tolerate those we don't agree with and those who rub us wrong. I don't think I agree with this. In philsophy class we talked about this. Hitler was the main example. If Hitler had tolerated the Jews, there would have been no Holocaust. Yes, right. BUT,since someone tolerated his idea and did nothing about it, the Holocaust happened. If the USA had tolerated Hussein, he would still be a threat to the world and be killing his people. If we had not tolerated the idea of abortion (sick, there would be no discussion of it today.This goes on forever! thats been on my mind as well.
Third and last thing on my mind is this guestion: What is so great about a kiss? (warning to guys: entering girl's thought process...BEWARE!!!)Is there something about it that is just so wonderful people must have because its so wonderful? I have never been kissed. Fine by me...just haven't met the right guy yet. The world portrays it as this wonderful thing on TV and in movies but also so trivial. The way they show it normally is...gross! But old pictures, like the black and white one of the Navy guy and his girl...that is one of my favorite pics. Its sweet, simple and everything. I'm not even sure why this popped into my head but...it did so...
 thought I'd write this all down, get it out of my head and hear ya'll's comments on it. bye!
all right, so three of my all time fave movies are Hellboy, all the Indiana Jones movies (except for Temple of Doom...I'd like to keep my heart, if you don't mind!) and each of the HArry Potter movies (sorrry to those who don't like them!) Well, THEY ARE COMING OUT WITH NEW ONES!!!!!!
The Hellboy movie looks amazing! THe effects look wonderful and the story line looks brilliant and they kept the same actors! That is one thing that drives me NUTS! if you are making a sequel or whatever, USE THE ORIGINAL ACTORS WHENEVER POSSIBLE!! this one is called "The Golden Army"! the villians look like tehy are supposed to be like something that comes from underground. When you watch the trailor (youtube is amazing) it starts out like that "what made you fear the dark, those who make the strange rumbling under your streets" its something like that! it looks awesome!!
The Indian Jones is called "The Curse of teh Crystal Skull" or something. It has the same kid from the movie Holes and once again...THEY ARE USING THE SAME ACTORS!!! harrison ford is one of my favorite actors! This movie is always good. my favorite has got to be "The LAst Crusade" A- becase it has Sean Connery in it as well as Harrison Ford. B-because it is the Holy Grail they are after and C-it shos how Indy got his scar, the whip, got into archiology (sp?) and his fear of snakes. If any of my readers have not seen this movie...WATCH IT!!!!! This movie comes out May 22, 2008!!!!! ITS ALMOST HERE!!!!
The third is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! This was one of my favorite in the book series. The main thing is that Harry is given this old potions book by his NEW potion master. In this book are side notes that tell Harry different ways to make his potions; as a result, Harry becomes one of the best potions student 9much to Hermione's dismay who is continually trying to get him to throw it away!) Also, Harry and Dumbledore go back in Dumbledore's (hate the actor) pensive (this is cool becase pensive means "thinking") .The Pensive is a way to store your thoughts, memories and other things without actually having to have them in your head. Its like a memory video camera...sort  of. Anyway, HP and Dumbledore go back in Dumbledore's memories to looks back at Voldemort's (ultimate villian) past life. In order to understand the future, you must first understand the past. Love this one becase tings reveal themselves all over the place and there are things you must pay attention too that J.K. Rowling (author) uses in the 7th. She uses little things that are often over-looked as major things in the seventh! This movie comes out in November 2008!!!!!
i love these movies and will DEFINETLY go see them in theaters! hope ya'll are looking forward to these movies as much as me!!!!!
keep it pithy!
just sittin' here
10:44 AM, Feb. 12, 2008 .. 0 comments .. Link
so I'm just sittin at the library while my mother gets her hair cut. Nothing much has been going on with me lately but there are some things that go through this boring mind of mine.
I'm still working on editing my story...its just so tedious! Can't someone else do the editing and I do the writing?! PLEASE!!!! I am so impatient; i just want to finish it and send it and be able to walk into Barnes and Nobles and see my book on the shelf! That would be amazing! I'm not sure if I'll be writing more books after this one; I guess that depends on whether or not an idea pops into my head and if people like this one. I'm only on chapter 12 out of 30! Erg! Pray that my patience doesn't fade away!
Another thing that has been on my mind is college! Two of my friends are going to college this year and I'm graduating next year. Its just, for a while, college wasn't anything pressing on my mind. It was there, just not one of teh big pictures. I've known where I wanted to go since like 5 years old. Then, it was only because of the huge candy store in the same building as the bookstore. Then it was because that is where mom and dad graduated from and they turned out pretty smart  so maybe the college could help me out as well...and trust me, I NEED HELP!!! hehe The college is Montana State University and is in my mom's hometown. My aunt and uncle (why do we always list the aunt first?) have said that they could clear out there downstairs room with my help and I could live with them. That means free food, free room and board and my cousins are there when I need a break. They are awesome! Andrew is a year younger then me and last time I was there we bashed one another black and blue in a lightsaber war! That would be great! The college is within biking distance so I could get my excercise each day. The only problem with this is that since the college is in Bozeman, Montana, it'll be cold...REALLY cold! I hate the cold! Cannot stand it! I love the skiing and the sledding and snowball fights and everything but I would rather where shorts, tennis shoes/boots and a t-shirt then long-johns, jeans, long sleeve shirt with sweater over it, ski jacket, thick socks and snow boots! That is my winter wear! I hate being that bundled up. I feel like the kid from The Christmas Story when his mom is pulling on all the layers! erg!
Next on my mind has somewhat to do with my last entry. Norrington is amazing in the second and the thrid! He is so cool and I apsolutely hated it when he died. But in those movies he is much more loose with just a hint of proper to him. He is amazing! From best to last, its Jack, Norrington, then Will. Elizabeth is in the negative! She is way to flip-flopy with her "true love" or whatever! First its J.Norrington, then its will, then its Will, then its Jack, then its Will again, then its Norrington, and then its back to Will! She finally makes up her mind when Will finally decides to be forceful and full on ask her. I love that scene! Everyone is fighting, its raining, the balance of a pirates life hang in that air and the wedding is going on! Its incredibly amazing! Love it! The only thing that drives me nuts about it is the fact that when they are going through the ceremony, everyone is attacking them but when they kiss, its "OK; give 'em a moment! They gotta kiss!" and the rough and kill pirates all sorta stop and go "Ahhhhh! Thats so sweet!" NO! Bad! Sorry! Not that! Stupid! I feel sorry for Davy Jones though; one minute he's in love witht eh sea goddess and he finally gets to see her. Then she's not there so he betrays her because he thinks she betrayed him. Then he finds out that she still loves him and he can't help but love her and it goes on and on. In the third movie, he's crying when they first show him! CRYING! Fish-face is CRYING! He is forced to kill his Kraken pet, he is no longer free to roam the sea however he pleases and his ship is no longer his! ERG! Can't the guy get a break?! Love him though! To cyndle- "So he wasn't always...tentacly!" hehe
So what do ya'll think of the presidential canidates? If any of you have the guts to say you like the democrapic then you better take me off your friends list right now! Hilary is just a brat who has done NOTHING in her life worthwhile and Obama is a baby killing, all talk, brat! He belives in the kind of abortion where they live the baby on the shelf and they die of neglect! That is just sick! If any of the 18-year-olds who read this vote for him, I will somehow find out and slap you, kill you, raise you from the dead, clone you and kill all your clones! He's sick! One thing I did find funny was something on Hannity and Colmes (Hannity is wonderful!!!). Hannity asked the supporters of the Obama (osama) campaign what they liked about and what made them support him. Their answers where "Uhhh....um....well..." THEY HAD NOTHING! THEY COULD THINK OF NOTHING BECAUSE THEY KNOW NOTHING OF HIM! I just thought that was funny!
I watch "The O'Reilly Factor" with my mom and dad alot and one thing I love about him is the way he uses hardly-heard-of words as he closes the show. His most recent one is "Blooter" meaning "a babbler, a bumbling idiot, a fool"! He also uses the word "pithy" meaning "precisely meaningful; forceful and breif"! For a Christmas, I got a "Keep it Pithy" t-shirt and my dad got a "No Bloviating" shirt (Bloviating means "speaking in a popous or boastful manner") I love him! He is apsolutely amazing! Love you, O'Reilly!!!!
So I guess that is all except I need some ideas for a 16th b-day party. I can't do anything with costumes or anything like that. I am blanking on ideas and need ya'll's help! Leave a comment with an idea (if you have one) that is simple and incredibly easy!
Keep it Pithy!
kate
ps-pray for my shoulder; it has been hurting incredibly lately (one minute I'll be able to feel it next minute I could shove a pencil through it and not feel a thing!) I have an appointment today so just pray please! Thanks!!!
8:24 PM, Feb. 1, 2008 .. 7 comments .. Link
so this is just going to be me going bonkers...again! hehe
Something drives me NUTS in the first Pirates of the Caribbena movie and that is what I am going to go bonkers on first!
there is a scene where Norrington (ice-cream cone head) asks Lizzy to marry him. They are standing in a very stupid place (two people fall off!). he's making it all formal and everything (annoying) and he's nervous (poor guy) Lizzy is looking kinda scared because she knows what's coming (don't blame her) and he pops the question. She is wearing a corset (horrible thing made by some guy to make the waists skinneir and everything else in that area go up that breaks ribs and is just plain stupid) and is getting short on breath (again, don't blame her). She says "I can't breath" and what does he say?! "yes, I'm a bit whatever myself!" HE THINKS SHE IS TALKING ABUT HIM?!?!?!?!? How self-centered can teh guy be?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Thats insane and stupid and dum and ERG!! annoying!!! WHY? this girl is suffacating becuase of some stupid invention and he thinks she is being all cute and froo-froo over him! UG! ERG! EW! ANNOYING! BUGGER NORRINGTON!!! ERG!
again...erg!...comp time over! I nee to work something out with mother! :)
skiiing adventure!!!!
11:49 PM, Jan. 31, 2008 .. 2 comments .. Link
So, I love skiing. I went skiing three times last year. THe first was pretty good but the snow was sorta covered in ice and wasn't teh powdery goodness! second=wind +ice and the thrid was wind, ice, rain, and terrible!
Not yesterday! yesterday was amazing! Powder, little wind and flurries of new snow! It was awesome! The only thing I hate is the getting up early and the freezing cold! if i could wake up three minutes beofre the lifts open, have my tickets ready to go and all dressed and then telaport to the front of the lift line, it would be heaven! yesterday was started by getting ski legs back then it was get comfortable again and go ahead and go for steeper, faster, and more turns! We only used 2 of the lifts; one was teh green hill that was pretty easy and gorgeous and let out right by the lift to the top. It was good for learning again and getting confidence and such! My little sister liked that one! she gets frustrated when she falls and ujust before she falls, throws her poles! Its pretty funny! Love ya, sis! She was doing really well with her cutting and everything! She and Dad went all the way down the hill to get some food for the die hards (Mr. Rex, his daughter Holly and Me) who were two go! go! go! to go down the hill and then the hike back up! erg! We went on the same blue run over and over and over all day long because it seemed to change every time! We would choose different routes while on the lift and decide completely when we were on the hill. We went through some awesome stuff and I found a small jump! I hadn't done any jumps before but after i found this one and we took that route, I went for the jump! It was only like a foot high but it felt like I was flying! I landed on my feet a few times but the rest of the times it was right on my face! hehe! Powder was amazing! loved that! One was pretty steep but my confidence was way up there, I was singing as I went down to stay totally loose and then, crossed the ski's unknowing and fell flat on my face, flipped down the hil, twisted my ankle a bit (got up again) and twisted my wrist! that didn't start hurting until we got back to the car; then it was really painful! the wipe-outs i had were good and soft, no injuries and a total blast! got runover by some jerk and then covered in powder when Dad wasn't around! butt hole!!!
computer times up! see ya'll!
thoughts that have been running through my strange brain!
8:06 PM, Jan. 29, 2008 .. 4 comments .. Link
I have been working on a biography for my mom on Jane Austen just after I finished the paper on Alfred Noyes (author of The Highwayman). Turns out that if you complan about not having to do papers (yes, I know I am bonkers) then your teacher/mom will take teh hint and, what will she do? GIVE YOU PAPERS!
Well, as I was doing research on her, this little thought broke my train of scholary and whispered "What if someone in the future is doing a paper like this on you someday?" This thought completely broke any possible means of consentrationa nd i began to think, "Yes, what if?" and then as I tried to go back to Jane Austen and read that it was only after her death that she was all that famous and I thought "Well, that would stink! I mean I'm just doing this for me and I think this is what God wants me to do, but I would like to get some appreciation. That would really stink." Thoughts like these kept running through my mind and then thoughts like "will my book be published? Will my book be liked? Will some kid call me like they did J.R.R. Tolkien asking me if some creature i amde has wings? Will it become a classic that millions of High Schoolers are forced to read and only one in a million likes one of teh books forced on their work load and they have to read that instead of reading something else or their e-mails, magazines or whatever? Will they still have e-mail or will e-mail be like normal mail today and instead will we have holagrams? Will movies still be around or will it all be vertual? Will my book be made into a movie?" etc. Then I realized, "OMG! I'm rambling on in my mind! AKK!!!" This is really weird and totally random but hey! This is insane! AKK! What the heck am I doing and why are you even reading this? scary!
O.K. one thing that drives me apsolutely bonkers in when people don't get the stae abreviation right when there is a presidential canidant running from there or has been a President from that state! The main one that people seem to have a problem with is ARkansas! We have a Presidents of the U.S.A booklet that gives quick facts about each president; this includes their homes state! On Bill Clinton's (i really don't like him but love the state!) quick facts section, they list his state as AK! THAT IS ALASKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT ARKANSAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now this is a published, all over the place at educatioal supply stores, especially in stores for homeschoolers! I have seen it on quiete a few blogs, including some people who are quiete brilliant!
Arkansas's abbreviation is AR!!!!
come on people! its the first TWO LETTERS IN THE WORD!!!!!! Get it right!!!!!
Sorry, mind went off!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another thing that is on my mind is how is seems that we cannot get away from adultery! its in everything! There is an ARBY'S commersial that she goes running of into the lake stripping her clothes of as she goes! ew! That doesn't make me think of a burgr or whatever teh sandwitch they are advertising! eww! Then there is that nasty smelling guy's perfume; bam or axe or somethnig like that. The commersials show a guy with it on and some girls leaping on him and royally kissing him! They start rolling down the hill and it goes on forever! WHO WANTS TO SEE THAT?!?!?!?! I just want to be able to watch my fairlyodd parents cartoon on Saturday morning when I'm all groggy without having to worry about it! It doesn't even stop there! it drives me BONKERS!!!!!! thats a think I'm looking forward to when we cancel our cable! After the Superbowl (I'm not even sure who's playing at the Superbowl), it BYE-BYE!!! The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the fact that it means no more Numb3rs or Fairlyodd Parents but I think I'll live! hopefully...maybe...possibly...slim chance....not at all....jk!

well, i think ya'll have had enough of me for now so I'll stop now! see ya'll later!!!

Questions that need answering!

8:09 PM, Jan. 20, 2008 .. 3 comments .. Link

So on past entries I have been asked a couple of questions; here are the answers.

to anyone who asked if they could drive me truck; NO!!!!!!sorry!

To the question of waht my truck's name is; Tweety! I'm naming her Tweety because we're painting her canary yellow when we're finsihed making her perfect!

to teh one about all guys like the American Idol with the necklace; YES I DO!!! There are too few guys like him! BE LIKE HIM!!!! My mom wanted to youth-inize a bit to my age so I could marry him, hehe!! funny mommy!

~~~~~
Now for other things.
I have finished the book i've been working on for quite a while FINALLY!! Its called The Fight for Tyra and is basically about 5 Stones that enhance the powers of Elves, Fairies, Dwarves, Nameless Ones (things who are too evil to give names to) and Demons (had to make it even). Then one guy gets teh idea taht if he gets all these Stones, he'll rules the world!!!!!! *Tuktoomuk laughs evily* Mwhahahaha!!!! So I've finsihed writing it and have to finish the editing! BLUCK!!! I almost wish i could hand it over to someone, tehy edit it and then I look it ovre and publish it! That would be wonderful! The story behind the story (telling you guys becuase I know that wehn one reads this *coughs HANNAH* she will bring it up) is that about five years ago (whoa! that long?!?!?!?!) two friends of mine, Hannah and Rachel and I were at the Homeschool Academy feild day (HA was a co-op thing that was a bit boring but fun when you had freidsn to laugh at the vicious teachers with) when we saw this tree that had all this little holes in it. We called it a fairy tree and from that point on, we started planning this book. We were going to do that we all ghad specific ppoints in teh story; Rachel was to hang how all these characters dressed (she had wanted to be a fashion designed for teh girl's who like really cool and modest dresses and clothes!!!!), Hannah was to handle settings (place, time, etc.) and help with details of character descriptiona dn I, of course, was in charge of battle scenes, weapons, and teh writng process wiht help from Hannah. I took off with it and Hannah stuck with it for a while and Rachel did too, but then it sorta fell apart between teh three of us and I just started writing, developing, edsigning characters and everything and going to each of tehm for advice (which i still sometimes do). Hannah is now writing a bit of story herself; i've read bits of it and its good! Keep at it Hannah! Rachel is doing her thing now with church, designing things here and there and, as always, artsy things! She's an amazing artist and I can't wait to see them both again the next time I am down in AR (hopefully that is soon). Now, I have only mentioned two of three WONDERFUL, FAITHFUL, AND AWESOME freinds from AR; teh last is the rocker of our group. She has written a few spits of story and helped me numerous times in my book! Give it up for Haley!! She has helped with time in my book; how long it would take them to get from one point to another and also weapon design and such! Thanks to all three!
But the story kept going; I started with one cruddy version (run-ons, horrid spelling, shove as much events into it as possible, etc.) but hey, I was 10!!! It spread to 2 versions, then 4 then a grand total of NINE DIFFERENT VERSIONS!!!!!!!!! I finally started with on of the better ones and went from there. With my move to CA, inspiration hit from different places. I knew more of how my character would feel with things. Esstellaim is teh charcter either based of me or who I would like to be like in some ways or something like that, I haven't really decided who she is yet. my friends up here gave me different ideas; Chris helped with editing on a things, telling me things of weponry and sword play and armor (things he's awesome at and it really helps to have a perfectinous as a friend when editing). Shay gave me ideas for character and a way to put a bigger thing on the birthmarks most of teh elves have. Instead of sitting tehre looking cool (the birthmarks are like dragons for poer, bear for strenth, cricket for meekness fox for cunning, etc.) tehy would help you out in battle. they could change their sizes from the normal size of them as they lay on your palm (as Esstellaim's does or on your shoulder as Delinor's does) they changed sizes to whatever teh pressing need may need, i guess is teh way to put it! hehe! thanks to all!!
Just thought I wuod explode on this and see what happens! My mind does that sometimes,w hich is teh main reason for teh notebooks of teeny, itsy-bitsy dreams, fantasies or wahtever may hit me! Thanks for reading all this!
Esstellalim!!!!!
American Idol!
4:32 PM, Jan. 17, 2008 .. 3 comments .. Link
Just to tell you guys reading this, I NEVER watch American idol after the audtions; after they get the people and go through all teh freaks, I'm done.
Last night was AMAZING though! OMG! Dallas is one of the freakiest places on the planet! guys dressed as girls, people who actually think they can sing when they stink and everything; but in the middle of all teh freaks were three people that were so cool...and freaky (this only applies to the third)
The first was a 21 old year old guy who had never kissed a girl. his reason for this was that he wanted his first kiss to be on his wedding day. I thought this was very cool! The judges, on the other hand, were shocked! This guy's story was that he had never been in a serious relationship with a girl and that he had never kissed one before (SO WHAT!) His dad had a necklace with a heart and the guy had a necklace wqith a key. He told the show that on his wedding day, his dad would give the heart necklace to his new daughter-in-law and then the singer would have 'the key to her heart'. This guy was a pretty good singer too; they turned him down and as he was leaving, Randy shouted, "And kiss some girls!!!!". i don't understand why that was so weird! I thought it was really cool to see that in the center of all these freaky people! Loved it!
The second that stood out was a woman. She was 20 and had been in a terribel car-accident when she was 18. the guy didn't stop, t-boned her car and left her blind in one eye and that side of her face patially mangled. She had gotten some work done so it wasn't so noticable but you could still tell that something had happened. She was wearing a very out-tehre outfit (bright, short dress over a longer black skirt with tall black boot; she looked very cute as weird as that may sound to some of you) and was beaming! She was so happy! She never stopped smiling through the entire auditon and she was just so happy! It was great! She just loved everything in the world, it din't seem that she could ever get angry or anything! I loved it ! HAPPY PEOPLE ROCK!!!!!
Now, are you ready for this?
The third, final, and most weird guy in the thing was THE BIRDMAN!!!! he was wearing this insane-o outfit with a flashy cape, streamers of flashing fabric, a white vest with broad fur on the collar and a white hat with wings and a peice of paper with the name "Simon" on the front. When asked about this, he basically said that music was Simon! AKK!! His song was his own compostion (gag) titled "Brothers forever!" and that is basically all he said! the firs, third, fifth, seventh etc, was: "I am your brother! Your best friend forever! Singing the songs; the music that you love!" and it goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on , and on, and on, and on, and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... you get my point! the only thing that I enjoyed was the laughter I got from it! THE JUDGES WERE EGGING HIM ON!!!!! And at the end, when Birdman finished off with a loooooong note, Simon gave him a hug! This guy was tearing up after words going on and on about how Simon is the best thing of the earth and that he is so great because he takes in people of all talents, no cahrge and gives them a chance! It was really funny to watch and if he ever gets wind of this, I just want to thank him for giving those who watched so much happiness and an....interesting...song to go to bed with! it was in mine and my family's head ALL NIGHT!!!!
I am posting this video on here just so ya'll can watch it! It is so funny and I hope you find it as funny as my and my family did!!!
tazzy!!!!
