My homeschooling expedition

Oct. 26, 2007 - Strep!!

Has anyone else had this experience? It seems like whenever we move we catch everything during the first 6 months or so. I just feel terrible. Four out of five of us have it--I am praying that my type 1 diabetic ds 12 will skip it. He had strep when we first arrived a couple of months ago and it hit him hard. Fevers of 104 for more than 5 days. Ugh!

Luckily ds4 and dh who came down with it first are already perking up. I am probably the worst----it hit dh and I more than the kids.
Dh took the kids camping the other weekend at the Alabaster Caverns- they saw bats and toured the cave. I stayed here because I had committed to watching a friends dog before we planned the trip. It was a nice break but because I wasn't there dh and ds4 shared a bed in the camper and then two days later they both had strep--coincidence? I think not. :-)
I'll try to post a picture later of ds4 in the bat wings that ds 12 bought for him with his spending money. One blessing is that ds 12 loves to shop for others. Last night, he knew I felt terrible so when his Dad and he stopped at the grocery store for sushi and cheese for dinner- he bought be flowers to cheer me up. Isn't that cool? Ahhh.....
I will post more this weekend- I want to post some pictures of my pumpkins--growing in the garden right now.
Happy Fall!! I love this time of year! ---Terrill

We have experienced the same thing, but Strep? What a pain. We will keep you all in our prayers and hope everyone is feeling back at 100% very soon. It is so good to catch back up on you and yours, I've enjoyed browsing your blog. HUGS
