I have no idea what to write. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record. Or like my 11 year old. I know I need to write. But after email, community blog, facebook, and twitter, what else is there?  LOL!

Since this is a Homeschool family blog, I guess I should mention school. The kids are hanging in there. We’re focusing most of our efforts on Language arts and Math. We’re not getting as many books read this year, but we’re coming along. Here are some of the books we have read: (I can't get the spaces out for some reason)

The Poison Frog Mystery (The Boxcar Children)

The Wild Women of Lake Anna

Marie Curie: Brave Scientist

Little House on Rocky Ridge (Little House Cont.)

Mrs. Piggle Wiggle

The Thief at Keswick Inn

The Guardians of Ga'Hoole: The Capture (Book 1)

Charlie and The Charlie Factory

The Mystery in the Snow (Boxcar Children)

Lives of the Musicians

Hellen Keller

The Big Wave

Little House in Brookfield (Caroline Years #1)

The Making of May

Nim and the War Effort

The Glorious Flight

Little Town at the Cross Roads: The Caroline Years

Anne of Green Gables

Dealing With Dragons - Book 1

Swan Town

Harry The Dirty Dog

Cassie Binegar

Kinsey decided to start recording the books she reads. We’ll see how it goes.

It finally snowed today! Yea! The girls went out to play twice. And came in like little frozen popsicles – twice.

I don’t know if I’m interesting on Twitter or not, but here’s a bit of what I’ve said:

I use the Twhirl Widgit to keep up with out the need to refresh. These are backwards because you add to the top as you go.

  • come with me in June to the Homeschool convention! It's not efficient, but you can spend days looking through all the lit. I do!
  • Facebook/Digsby is very busy today. How much is from just those on Facebook and how many are on because of Digsby?
  • kids getting ready for round 2 in the snow.
  • I added video to my super wall, but I don't think that was where I was suppose to add it.
  • sit up straight, Jennifer!
  • what program do i use on my computer just to record my voice? No video.
  • now that my water is not brown anymore I guess it's save to have a cup of tea! wait. Isn't that brown water???
  • playdo, paper dolls, dancing, stickers, clean room, color, making snowflakes... my kids cound not find anything to do yesterday.

  • Kids out in the 1 inch of snow

I’m learning how to use the Flipcam for business, school and fun. Today’s video is in the link above.

The Lord is blessing the business. It's a lot of work and I'm still trying to figure out how to balance work time, family time, and free time.

I was feeling like I was catching up until I realized that the first month of 2009 is almost over, but I'm still thankful for all that has been accomplished so far this year.

Because there are so few places to meet in Caroline County when it's cold, the kids miss their homeschool friends. We can't wait to go ice skating next month with everyone!

I'm at a loss as to what else is going on in my life. If you have a question, ask! And yes, the dog is STILL alive...

I am home schooling my 11 yr old son here in Caroline County Virginia. I can't believe I am the only one. We have been in the county for less than a year and I don't know very many people in the area. If you home school in Caroline County Virginia please e-mail me at swaney3@gmail.com or give me a call at 633-5575 so we can get to know one another. I have so many questions.
