Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club

Six Flags Over Georgia introduced the Wile E. Coyote Canyon Blaste in 2004. It is designed to entertain families with children taller than 36 inches. The Atlanta amusement park promises the coaster 'is mild enough to deliver big thrills for the little ones and still entertain mom and dad.'

Teaching At Home is again participating in the Six Flags Read to Succeed program this year.  This program enables your child, grades K5 - 6th to earn a free Six Flags ticket for completing six hours of recreational reading between now and February 15, 2008.  Your child can read books, magazines, comic books, or anything they enjoy to fulfill the six hours of recreational reading.  If your child has not yet begun to read, you can read the six hours to them.  One parent per household is also eligible to receive one free Six Flags ticket.  In addition this year, each student ticket will come with information about a special Read To Succeed discount offer for up to four family members so that families can celebrate their children's accomplishments and join in on the fun.  Each family must turn in a Teacher's Reading Club List.  You can either print one off the Internet which is in Spanish but not offered in English (I can tell you what you need to fill in.), I can give you one at Park Day, or you can send me two SASE (one for the form to fill out and the other for when the tickets come in).  These forms must be returned to me no later than February 15.  This deadline is enforceable by Six Flags and cannot be extended.  Please look here http://www.weeklyreader.com/rts.asp for forms and lots of great grade-oriented information to help you along with this wonderful reading incentive!
