Miniature Treehouses

A perfect example of Jerry's obsessiveness over things ended our day with me building a popsicle stick treehouse for him.  We spent the afternoon at our friends' house for a cookout and to let the kids play in their newly built life-size treehouse.  Kim pulled out the book her husband used to build it with and Jeremiah was fascinated by all of the pictures of types of treehouses you could build.  He asked if we could build a treehouse too.  You first need a house for that, then a yard, and then a tree...none of which we currently have as apartment dwellers.  I mentioned that we could probably build a miniature one out of popsicle sticks and should have known better than to voice that at 8:00 p.m.!!  Anyway, now he is in army man heaven with his little plastic guys and making them "play" in their new treehouse.  It was fun and I know it will give him hours of enjoyment, so....yes, even at 10:00 p.m., it was worth it!

Some playset extras added just the right touch!

How fun is that!!! I am going to file that idea away for things to do when my boys get bored.

Happy June!

You are one cool Mom! I don't know if I would have done that at 8 p.m.
Well, to be honest - I am sure that I would not have.
Good job Mom!
