Teaching Jeremiah, A Journey into the Mind of an Asperger's Child

Our Little Graduate

Kindergarten Graduate

Jeremiah graduated kindergarten this evening with our home school group and we were so proud of him.  Technically, we're doing kindergarten work again next year, but, after the year we've had and how far Jerry has come, he earned this right of passage.  He was so cute.  He walked around in his cap and gown all night telling people, "I'm a graduate!"  We made him a great display table showcasing all of his work and pictures over the last year.

Daddy and I presented him with a certificate and another little surprise as well.  Jerry was disappointed on Monday night after  his sister received her first trophy for cheer leading and his brother received his second for basketball.  Of course the oldest brother has quite a few trophies adorning his bookshelf as well.  Therefore, as Jeremiah discovered, he was the only one without a trophy.

Well, leave it to eBay.  I found a graduation trophy Monday night and the company engraved it and had it priority mailed to me just in time for the ceremony!  He was so excited.  He showed it off to everyone.
