Teaching Jeremiah, A Journey into the Mind of an Asperger's Child

Jul. 2, 2008 - More Jonah Fun

And after three days in the whale's belly...
    the whale spit Jonah out!

What you can't see in that last picture is the little Jonah taped to the end of the whale's tongue.  We taped him to keep him from getting lost each time the whale "spit" him out.

We colored a Jonah coloring sheet this week, heard the story of Jonah and the whale at least three more times, and fingerprinted a whale picture.

Then there was Jonah and the whale tic tac toe...

And my personal favorite, fishing for Jonah.  Jerry got pretty good at using just one hand and his handmade magnetized fishing pole to catch his ten whale friends.

Our school week ends a little early this week with daddy being home the next four days for the 4th of July holiday, though I'm sure we'll be discussing Jonah just the same.  Now when Jerry is being disobedient I say to him, "Oh Jerry, you're not being a Jonah are you?"
