Well, we're winding down on Jonah now and it's almost sad to see it come to an end. We've had so much fun. We have two more projects next week, including a Jonah party for all of Jerry's preschool friends. He is so excited. We've already passed out invitations.
This week we made sandy beach cookies. I think Jerry had as much fun making them and eating them pre-cooked as he did once they were done. Big brother Ben helped with the icing. The blue is supposed to be the ocean and then we dipped half the cookie in sugar to look like sand on a beach. MMmmmm!

We played the coolest game then. It really drove the point of the whale eating Jonah home for Jerry. He colored a Jonah I'd drawn on white fabric squares. Then I hot-glued three of the four sides of the fabric together and Jerry filled the open side with dry beans before we glued it shut also. Alas, beanbags!!
Using an empty gallon milk jug, I made a whale to catch the beanbags with. First, Jerry just tossed his beanbags into the whale's mouth. Then I held the jug while he threw the bags and I dove to catch them. He laughed so hard everytime I missed and clapped and jumped when I caught one. Whew! There's some exercise for you!

Milkjug Whale
By the way, milkjug whales are great fun in the bathtub too. This one hulped up not just water, but batman, rescue heroes, and other tub toys who "disobeyed".

"Watch out Louis! You might be next!"
