Jeremiah's new fascination is with Tinkertoys. They are very cool. He bought himself a set at a flea market a few weeks ago with his chore money and, since then, has gained another bucket so that his creations can be even more grande.
I am sad to report that Papa Jim, the dear friend and "surrogate" grandpa that Jeremiah recorded the get well message for went home to be with the Lord this afternoon. Yesterday, during one of Jerry's creative sessions, he informed us he was building a church. He asked, "Daddy, is it hard to build a church?" John told him yes and that it takes a lot of people.
We are so very blessed to have a church with such a solid foundation and that comes together as a family to rejoice as well as to grieve with one another. Papa Jim was one of the sturdiest building blocks our church was ever blessed enough to have amidst its foundation. His family's tears are ours as well and he will be surely missed. When I told Jeremiah that Papa Jim had died this afternoon, he asked if we could pray for him because he did not understand. I told him that he didn't need our prayers anymore because all of his had been answered as he was now living in heaven with Jesus. |

I hope Jeremiah gets as much mileage out of his Tinkertoys as David did his Legos!
