Yes, cookies. No, God didn't create them, but Jerry made some gingerbread creation cookies this week that resembled a few of God's creations....moons, dinosaurs, dogs, boys and girls, ducks, trees, stars... Him and his sister and brothers had fun decorating their cookie creations with raisins and chocolate chips too.

We talked about the wonderful creation of water this week too and Jerry learned about the three forms of water. He had fun pouring water from one cup to another and then I even let him hold his hand above a pot of steaming water so he could feel the "smoke" as he calls it. Last but not least of course, Jerry decided he wanted to build an ice house with the last form of water and so he tried...and ate the ice...and gave some ice to the cat to bat around on the floor! It was fun, really. It actually worked out very nicely because he worked on the letter "i" in his handwriting book that day and so we have added that to his list of letters he reviews everyday now. "I" was for iguana, ice, igloo...

Jerry also made some cotton clouds this week as we continued in our creation study. And yes, speech therapy began for him as well. He was so excited to see Miss Ramos, he didn't even mind having to get up at 7:15. Jerry usually sleeps until 8:30 or so, but speech is Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8-8:30 am and so it's early to rise now...for all of us. Wish I could say his siblings were as excited as he was! We're back to waiting in the school library for Jerry. It works out okay though. Jonathan, Michaela, and Ben bring their daily devotionals and work on those while we're waiting.

Jerry's really enjoying his new Pioneer Clubs class too. He's with the bigger boys now and he's doing very well. Of course, I'm a helper in the Voyager class with him and so I think that helps, but he just loves his teacher, Miss Kim.
Speaking of "Aunt" Kim, she visited a teacher supply store last week with her sister and acquired a bunch of folder games to make for Jeremiah. They work on his letter matching skills, color patterning, and more. She gave me seven of the games she'd made and laminated for him last night and he was so excited when he saw them this morning. Here he is matching capital letters to others on a bunch of grapes. I love the graphics and how colorful Kim made them with the different colored file folders. Jeremiah got done and said, "I wish I had more of those mommy!" They're on the way thanks to Miss Kim!
