I have to start off first with some "Jerrytude". Here he is in a hand-me-down shirt from a friend that so fits Jeremiah!! In case you can't read it, it says, "Today's Forecast...100% Chance of Attitude! Enough said!!

We could not continue with our Fruits of the Spirit unit study this week because, until Jeremiah goes back for his GI test results at the doctor's next week, he can't have any fruit. That being said, his new favorite drink since he can't have orange juice is milk. He has informed me more than a dozen times this last week that milk comes from cows and so I thought maybe he might like to know what else comes from cows...and other farm animals for that matter.
I found this great website (http://www.yourchildlearns.com/index.html) that had a printable farm you just print, cut-out, and fold together to make your own farm. I glued it to cardstock first so as to make it more "Jeremiah-proof", but it turned out great. Here are some pictures.

Jerry has had so much fun with it! He already had a tub of farm animals for the farm and so now he has a barn, farmhouse, pigstye, chicken coop, shed, silo, and fence. He helped me color the buildings too. Then we just added some construction paper underneath for the grass and fields and there you have it...a home grown farm! Now he's asking all sorts of questions like, "What's in the silo, mom?" and "Who lives in the barn?" I love it! |
