We are a family of seven.  Our children are 15, 13, 4, 2, and 3 months.  We live on six acres and have a mini-farm with goats, chickens and a large garden.  My husband is a farm-hand on a wheat ranch.

I believe in teaching your own.  Meaning not only home schooling but teaching the individual child and thinking outside the box when it comes to education.

We just moved this year to 14 acres. Set us our first raised bed garden and started milling my own wheat. Hope to slowly get to chicken, goats and more raised beds. Do you have any tips for the newbie homesteader?
