• Aug. 16, 2007 - Sunshine on a Rainy Day

Tropical Storm Erin landed this morning and I awoke to a brief, heavy shower. As the kids got ready for the day, I canceled all appointments. I knew we might not get enough rain to warrant canceling them, but I felt a lot better having done so. Then we got out while the getting was good to go to the commissary and get the rest of the food we needed. We arrived at the store amidst heavy sprinkles and drove home in a shower. After lunch I headed over to one of my favorite blogs,

proverbsmomof3 done by Ginny. I was speechless!

She had an extremely encouraging and lovely piece featuring my blog and I felt like a cozy hug had descended upon me. Although we have never met in person, she has been a superb boost of encouragement to me. She is the first to have found my blog before I went public. Her encouraging posts and her other friends who popped on over gave me the confidence to tell others I was blogging. Ginny is sort of teaching me the ways of blogging and how to use the web site because she occasionally drops nuggets of fun in my way and as I seak them out, I learn how to use more features. You’ll also enjoy her fun blog, as well as her original poetry. As I finish writing this, TD Erin continues to heavily pour outside. We have accumulated over 4" of rain. I am glad I canceled those appointments, because I’d be driving right now in the middle of a torrential downpour on the highways. Instead the children and I are home and cozy and dry. Meanwhile in my heart, the sun is shining, left by my blogging friend, Ginny.
