I haven't posted anything recently, but now I fell like I need to. With Obama being elected. People are going to need frugal advise to get them through these hard times. My plan is to give some advise.
I have experience in computers, cooking, and baby sitting my little siblings. All of those on low budgets.
For now I'm going to supply one of my favorite computer resources, Linux.
With Windows costing so much these days people are looking for alternatives. One of those is Ubuntu Linux. It's completely free, but despite that it actually is more functional. Linux usually on any computer you put it on, and there is a Windows binary loader for Linux called W.I.N.E. (Wine Is Not an Emulator)
Check through the programs that you use on a day to day basis. Then check each one of them in the WINE AppDB. You can do just about anything in Linux that you were able o in windows.
In the future you may want more advice and I am willing to give it. I'm not going to be just doing computer, but that is my focus.
