Movie Review~

This weekend we went to see the movie "Fireproof."  It was excellent.  Made by the same people that made "Facing the Giants."      It was filmed a couple hours away from here.   The gospel is presented in it and it is great.    You can read more about it here.  If you can....  make a date night and go see it!

My birthday is tomorrow and my husband and I may go see it.  He didn't go with  us this weekend.  I am praying for a miracle.

I am so thankful Jesus loves me.........

A NEW fall look~ and school outside!

Thank you so much, Dawn for the new blog look!  I love it~   so fall-ish and beautiful. You are a great friend....   and wonderful *web* designer!   HUGS~

Like I said last time  the weather here is so beautiful. We have our annual Family Night Supper tonight with our home school group.   We do this every year at a local park.  Everyone brings a dish or two and we share.  Sometimes the Dads share.....  the kids play and ride bikes, swing and after dark they play sardines or capture the flag.   It is a great time..... of encouragement and fellowship.

This morning after my walk (been trying to eat better and walk several times a week)~ I was sitting on the swing on the deck.   Wyatt *found* me first ....  "Hi mama!"   I cuddled him and then I said "mama went for a walk....  wanna get your math and we can do some school out here?"   He thought this was cool.   So before long Wesley woke and *found* me..... he saw Wyatt doing school .... "mama, can I get my math and do school too?"    Then Alyssa came out and said "oh I will get my math too!"  So math was done outside on our deck.

I thank all of you for commenting....  it means a lot.   I do enjoy blogging.   Suzi .... you have been a faithful friend for 4 yrs too.   We love Luke ....  and feel connected.  I think often about all of us meeting one day.... hopefully on earth but if not in heaven!    m23g is a friend of ours from church and she is faithful to come read....    plus lots of you.    I thank you.   I do hope I encourage you in this journey we are on.

Alyssa, Wyatt & Wesley on our dirt road~ now it is paved.

This morning on the swing I was reading some of Vickie Farris' book "A Mom Just Like You."  It is one of my favorites.   I will leave you with a quote from her book.

"You have much to look forward to, if you simply remain faithful to what God has called you to do. I hope my story gives you the courage and confidence to keep going.  I pray that some of the lessons the Lord has taught me along the way will give you a measure of support and help for the tasks that you face. Most of all, I pray that you will keep your eyes on the One who 'will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give you strength to your bones,' so that 'you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail' (Isaiah 58:11). Yes, you have much to lookforward to if you remain faithful. I know, because that has been my experience, and I'm a mom just like you."    ~ Vickie Farris

keep on keeping on~
