May. 25, 2009 - The 2008 Schoolhouse Planner

Wow!  There's so much great information packed into this!  I'm really impressed.  I love how each month has a theme and the articles and links are all connected to that theme, like math, history, or geography. The articles are short, but contain a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from well-known homeschooling experts.  The recipes look wonderful too!  I can't wait to try them.  I know my family will lof the "Fast and Yummy Lasagna" and the "Easy Chicken Casserole".

Oct. 1, 2008 - Evangelize with Jewelry

These are some great earrings that can be used as tools to share the Gospel.  Each color represents a different part of the story.  Yellow is for the streets of gold in heaven.  The Lord wants all of us to go to heaven.  Black is for our sin.  We are all sinners and cannot get to heaven on our own.  Red is for the blood Christ shed.  It was the the only acceptable payment for our sins.  White is for how clean we are after we receive Christ.  Finally, green is for go. We are to go share the gospel with others.  I love these!

Jul. 3, 2008 - Planning our year.

Ok.  I'd like to say that I'm one of those moms who plans her school year out and has it all together before August, but I'm not.  I'm definitely a "fly by the seat of your pants" kind of mom.  This year coming up will only be my second homeschooling, so it's not even like I've had a lot of practice.  I'm hoping I'll get better at planning as time goes on.  We'll see.  I like buying a full curriculum.  It definitely gives me the direction I need.  This year I plan on using Christian Liberty Press.  Their books seem good and the price is right.  I also want to do some field trips.  Better get planning......
